The thesis discusses using an interactive board in teaching science (physics) in the second stage of primary school. The thesis is divided into different parts dealing with technical principles of different interactive boards and the implementation of these boards into teaching science at primary schools. Using special software, the author created a set of teaching materials that was tested in practice. The test results were discussed with a qualified teacher and with the supervisor of the thesis. After that, the materials were adjusted so that their use would comply with targets of the thesis and their further use would be comfortable for teachers. To use the materials in a comfortable way, a comprehensive guide on their use was prepared.

The topic of the presented diploma thesis is "Communication Strategy Pro-posal for the Vysočina Region". The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on ex-plaining the general aspects of communication in public administration and on communication tools used when communicating with the public. The beginning of the analytical part contains general requirements on creating a communication strategy for a region; this general outline of a communication strategy is then applied to the Vysočina Region. Its application itself is preceded by an initial analysis of the current state of communication in the region supplemented with segmentation of target groups. The thesis also contains a quantitative survey examining, among other things, satisfaction of citizens with communication of the Regional Authority of the Vysočina Region, intensity of use of the individual communication means in the region, and preferences considering the content of the communication. The thesis contains proposals to improve the quality of the present communication means of the Vysočina Region and proposals for communication means not yet being used in the region. The end chapter of the analytical part of the thesis contains generally accepted recommendations for communication of regions with the public.

This diploma thesis is a work of an actor´s graduate and deals with personal experience with functioning in a particular group. It is divided into three parts. The first part is devoted to social psychology and explains how the group and its functioning is seen by this field. In the second part, the author applies these facts on a specific group, who are her classmates of acting at the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre. The third part focuses on a psychological questionnaire of individual group members and close associates of the group. This thesis named Five to twelve has no scientific ambitions, but is rather insight into one particular group of actors, and personal reflections of the author.

This thesis deals with the measuring of adhesive and cohesive characteristics of composite systems filled with microparticles of glass powder. The theoretical part describes in detail composites from their historical development to the present, also their characteristics, general properties, distribution and types of fibers and matrices. Emphasis is placed on composites filled with particulate filler and current researches in the field of composites with glass filler. Furthermore, the adhesion and cohesion of filled systems is described. The experimental part of this thesis includes a methodology, which describes in detail the used materials, methods of preparation of mechanical testing and statistical analysis. The results of mechanical tests for all three composite mixtures and evaluation of cost savings are appended to this thesis.

PhD thesis deals with the impact of natural elements and structures in the image of the city. Topic is on the edge of urbanism, urban composition, aesthetics and landscape protection. This topic is often mentioned in relation with the identification and evaluation of landscape character. Landscape character significantly affects the urban structure of a city -- foundation of the city and functional layout; It is also reflected in the spatial and urban composition. Image of the city can be analyzed from different perspectives, just as it is possible to analyze the urban composition. Image of the city is solved by number of methodologies and PhD theses, although there are rather focused on the landscape or the town silhouette in surrounding landscape. This PhD thesis is focused on natural elements and structures in the city. So it is not about a city in a surrounding landscape but about townscape. It analyzes the image of the city and follows the methodology of Michael Hexner -- it evaluates the image of the city with regard to relationship of urban structures and natural elements with respect to their visual expression and visual appeal. Conclusions of the work define a relationship between the application of natural elements in the image of the city and its positive acceptance, perception and evaluation. The thesis is mainly focused on assessment of an aesthetic and compositional relationship of natural elements inside the city.

The thesis deals with contemporary theories of the citizens involvement in municipal life and civic society. It works with Nekol s concept which is a typology of forms of participation. The aim of the thesis is to test the usefulness of this concept on two selected municipalities in the Czech Republic Týnec nad Labem and Krakovany. The thesis focuses mainly of the description of participation forms and it examines the factors which influence the differences in people s participation. It shows that Nekol s concept is a useful tool in the effort to understand these differences in the two selected municipalities. The decisive distinguishing aspect is the stability of political environment. In Krakovany, the political environment is settled and is connected with the mayor, who is an important initiator of development in the town.

Six upholstelry materials were chosen and their drying time was tested. The same shaping materials were tested to find out their resistance towards mould, fungus if placed in damp environment. This thesis explores the relationship between the revitalization of watercourses and recreation in the countryside. The literature search analyses and describes the issue of the modification of watercourses in the urban landscape, and discusses the examples of good and worst practice of implementation in the Czech Republic as well as abroad. The practical part characterises the model locality of the Blanice River in Vlašim. The recreation effect of the revitalizations carried out is evaluated in the model locality and other selected examples of rivers in the Czech Republic and it also includes the public preferences method the questionnaire survey method, guided interview method, which focuses on the awareness of the population about the modifications of the watercourses. Using SWOT analysis, the factors of external and internal environment of the recreation potential are determined in the model locality. Based on the findings, the conclusion of the paper suggests some measures for improving the recreational conditions in the model locality.

This thesis titled Perspective cultivars in the range of native species deal with the native species of deciduous trees. Based on the literature review and the original field research of the model area general advantages and disadvantages of utilization of native species were summarized and the possibilities of their usage were discussed. Selected cultivars were described and categorized by growth and aesthetic values. General requirements for the utilization of the trees in cities were defined and the typology of urban habitats was created. In the practical part were assessed 1058 trees in the streets of Brno. The aim was to evaluate, how species respond to the environment of the city and to determine whether they are suitable for the usage in the streets. Following attributes were assessed: height, crown diameter, age phase, general vitality, general health, type of the surface, occurrence of a specific damage, perspective and amount of fruits. The results were confronted with the literature.
