Tem como objetivo principal questionar a natureza ensaística de seu discurso audiovisual, a partir da relação entre a função didática e os elementos formais da linguagem audiovisual que designam a modalidade ensaio. Como objetivos secundários, pretende tanto apontar possíveis relações de diálogo dessa produção com outros gêneros audiovisuais, como também evidenciar a importância da forma eletrônica do vídeo para a expressividade da função didática. Nossa hipótese é a de que a linguagem e o discurso audiovisual videográfico dessas videoaulas contêm códigos e elementos que são caracterizados como ensaísticos, quando da sua presença em outros gêneros não didáticos, além do que essa indicação não só as proveria de maior aderência semiótica com o vídeo, mas legitimaria tanto a ação experimental de suas práticas como a sua designação enquanto aula-ensaio. O corpus da pesquisa será composto por sessenta e sete videoaulas, produzidas no período que abarca vinte e quatro meses de atuação do estúdio nos anos de 2015 e 2016. A fundamentação teórica está ancorada na compreensão dos conceitos de gênero, discurso e diálogo à luz da filosofia da linguagem de Mikhail Bakhtin (2004; 2011), já para caracterizar a produção de sentido e sua capacidade de extensão/expansão que marca o discurso das videoaulas será organizado a partir do conceito de semiosfera de Yuri Lotman (1996; 1999). A função didática será definida a partir do entendimento de texto didático apoiado em autores como Cordeiro (2010), Dotta (2009), Almeida (2004), Costa (2008) Dolz e Schneuwly (2004) e Marcuschi (2003), por fim, introduzirar-se-á o conceito de ensaio audiovisual presente no trabalho teórico-crítico da arte e da comunicação de Arlindo Machado (2003; 2011) e Philipphe Dubois (2004) para se questionar sobre o caráter ensaístico das videoaulas do estúdio. / The present work has the purpose to study the production of videoclass of the studio of the Federal University of ABC. Its main aim is to criticize the essayistic nature of its audiovisual discourse from the relation between the didactic function and the formal elements of the audiovisual language that designate the essay modality. As secondary objectives, it intends to address possible relations of dialogue of this production with other audiovisual genres as well as to point out the importance of the electronic form of the video for the expressiveness of didactic function. The hypothesis of this work suggests that the language and the videographic audiovisual discourse of these videoclass contain codes and elements that are characterized as essays in their presence in other non-didactic genres, and this sign would not only provide them with more semiotic adherence with the video, but also would legitimize both the experimental action of its practices as well as its designation as class-essay. The research corpus will be composed of 67 videoclass produced in the period that covers 24 months of studio, in 2015 until 2016. The performance and the theoretical basis is supported by the understanding of the concepts of gender, discourse and dialogue based on Mikhail Bakhtin's philosophy of language. The description of the production of meaning and its capacity of extension and expansion that marks the discourse of the videoclass will be organized from the concept of semiosphere of Yuri Lotman. The didactic function will be defined from the understanding of didactic text supported by authors such as Cordeiro (2010), Dotta (2009), Almeida (2004), Costa (2008), Dolz and Schneuwly (2004) and Marcuschi (2003). Finally, the concept of audiovisual essay present in the theoretical-critical work of art and communication by Arlindo Machado and Philipphe Dubois will be introduced to criticize the essayistic nature of the studio videoclass.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, videoclasses have risen as a vastly used tool in the recently imposed distance learning. However, the production of a good videoclass by a teacher is not a simple and easy task. The Centre for Science and Higher Education of Rio de Janeiro (CECIERJ), an institution that manages all the state’s distance higher education, has since 2015 encouraged the production of videoclasses by its teachers.
