Hospodaření s dešťovou vodou v městských sídlech / Storm water management in urban areas.

Vaculík, Tomáš January 2019 (has links)
The diploma thesis is focused on Storm water management in urban areas. The first task for processing thesis was to arrange meeting with MČ Brno - Bohunice Ing. Antonín Crha, who has provided necessary information about the targeted location the and the reservoir for accumulation of rainwater collected. The practical part of the thesis is to capture the rainwater drainage in the existing rainwater sewerage system using the newly built pumping station and then pumping into the existing, unused reservoir. Accumulated water in the reservoir is planned to be used for the needs of the city, gardeners and other customers. The first part of the diploma thesis describes the management of refined water in the Czech Republic, Denmark and Germany. The first part also provides description of measures and technologies for the management of rainwater. Finally, there is description of the pumping station and borehole objects and the program for calculating the rainfall from the urbanized area. In the practical part of the diploma thesis the selected variants are described, rewarded and evaluated. The diploma thesis deals with two variants, that are guided along the same route, with the difference of the construction of the drilled well in the second variant. Both variants are handled by pumping. The option of the gravity inflow was rejected because of the large countersink of rainwater sewerage.

Vliv nanočástic různých forem oxidu titaničitého na vlastnosti půdní organické hmoty / Influence of different forms of titanium dioxide nanoparticles on soil organic matter properties

Miklasová, Marta January 2020 (has links)
Nanoparticles present potential risk for environmental compartments including soil. Previous works have been focused on negative effects of nanoparticles on soil biota, however studies about the influence of nanoparticles on soil properties are still limited. This thesis investigates an impact of 20 nm titanium dioxide nanoparticles on selected water properties in soil organic matter exposed to air with various relative humidity. Indeed, at 43, 70 and 95 % dominate different water types, i.e. water adsorbed on soil organic matter, water in water molecular bridges and phase water, respectively. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) was used in the study. An important finding is that nanoparticles reduce the stability of water molecular bridges under 70% relative air humidity and generally reduce evaporation enthalpy of water, which represents the ability of the soil to retain water. In the next part the influence of nanoparticles on total water in soil was observed. Under low relative humidity, rutile and anatase affected soil in different ways due to their various hydrophilicity. Under higher relative humidity this effect disappeared. In the last part, ice melting and water evaporation enthalpies of nanoparticle solutions were measured to confirm the presumed effect of nanoparticles on water. The ice melting enthalpy of the solutions was higher relatively to pure water, while the evaporation enthalpy showed a reverse trend (decrease). This confirmed the effects of nanoparticles both for pure water and soil water.

Plazmatem aktivovaná voda připravená elektrickým výbojem v kapalině / Plasma activated water prepared by electrical discharge in liquids

Možíšová, Aneta January 2020 (has links)
The aim of the diploma thesis is generation of active particles in plasma activated water (PAW) using a low-temperature plasma discharge. In this work I focus on the determination of hydrogen peroxide, nitrites and nitrates as active particles. The practical part is focused on a specific case of use of a plasma discharge in selected electrolytes dissolved in an aqueous solution. Here, three phosphates, differing in the number of acidic hydrogens, were selected for each experiment, and sodium chloride and tap water were compared for comparison. Phosphates were selected for their stable pH during plasma discharge in solution to monitor the effect of pH. The experiments were focused on investigating the stability of active particles in PAW, under which conditions is the highest production rate of these particles and what effect the pH value has on the result. It was found that hydrogen peroxide is generated the most in an alkaline environment but shows better stability in neutral. The concentration of generated nitrites is not high, but it shows stability, regardless of the polarity of the main electrode used for PAW generation. Nitrites were generated the most in alkaline environment and nitrates in acidic environment. One of the conclusions is that nitrates are not a very stable particle in PAW. Thanks to the activation and oxidation properties of plasma activated water, this method can be used in medicine or agriculture
