Charakter proudění a střední doba zdržení vody v nesaturované zóně nad Ochozskou jeskyní (Moravský kras) / Flow and mean residence time in karst unsaturated zone (Ochoz Cave, Moravian Karst)

Flow and mean residence time in epikarst and unsaturated zone was studied above the Ochoz cave in the Moravian Karst. I studied various flow components with different residence time in unsaturated zone and the influence of soil and epikarst on seepage composition and residence time by means of several methods (longterm monitoring of conductivity, flowrate of seepage and soil water, use of environmental tracers - 18 O, 3 H, CFC and SF6, flow into the soil and detailed sampling during intesive rain events). Seepage sites Kašna in the Rudické propadání cave system and Mapa Republiky in Býčí skála were reference localities in unsaturated zone. For comparison I modeled residence time in saturated zone: at Kaprálka outlet close to the Ochoz cave, at Stará řeka (Rudické propadání) and Konstantní přítok (Amatérská cave). Mean residence time in unsaturated zone above the Ochoz cave reaches 7 - 20 years, while it is only few months in the soil (1 - 8 months, depending on the depth). At Kašna seepage site, the reasidence time is similar to the Ochoz cave - about 18 - 20 years, at Mapa republiky seepage site, it reaches 150s year due to unusual geological settings. The thesis was intended to fill the information gap in the ecohydrology of the Pinus rotundata dominated peatbogs in the Třeboň Basin Biosphere Reserve, Czech Republic by studying various aspects of their water régime (i.e., transpiration of the dominant tree species, soil water chemistry, retention ability). The study is based on regular monitoring of the water table, water discharge, soil water chemistry and precipitation (during 1995-2000, study sites Červené blato and Žofinka peatbogs). Additionally, the transpiration of adult Pinus rotundata trees was measured in the field during 1999-2000 at the experimental plot in the Červené blato peatbog (330 ha, 465-475 m a.s.l.). Nowadays, the Pinus rotundata-dominated peatbogs represent almost natural (peaty) forests inside of otherwise human-made forest plantations. Long-term vegetation changes after natural disturbances such as windstorms, insect infestation and fire are only occasionally reported for the central European natural forests. Therefore the evaluation of vegetation changes after disturbances, typical of boreal forests, and their impact on peatbog hydrology has also been included in this thesis (study site Žofinka peatbog, 130 ha, 470-475 m a.s.l.). It should clarify the legal and technical framework for energy production in small hydro power plants, types of aid and the amount for the operator. Case studies describe the construction and reconstruction of small hydroelectric power plants which are dependant on the amount of feed-in tariffs and try to find out the economic efficiency according to the selected methods of investment appraisal.

A fight for customer is nowadays a typical sign of business. There is no doubt about an importance of a customer service. If a company doesn't dispose of quality in this point of view, a dissatisfied customer will use competitor's service in future. There is plenty of sellers, who don't master their roles. However, to measure the quality of service is difficult. One of methods that are used by a modern marketing, is mystery shopping. This instrument serves for an identification of imperfections in the process of service, where occurs a contact between the seller and the customer. It reveals a relief and a complete approach of staff to customers. Based on this there is a possibility to compare results with standards and norms of the company, but also with competitors, the market. Identification of the best and the worst parts is a possibility to improve the performance and the quality of service. A topic of my dissertation is usage of mystery shopping to compare the customer service in perfumeries Douglas and Sephora. The aim of the dissertation is to recommend steps concerning customer service to Douglas and Sephora based on results of mystery shopping. Partial aims are judging aspects as the importance of time of shopping, whether there is a difference between quality of customer service during week and on weekend, how much it's important if the customer is a man or a woman, or if the critical factor is customer's age. I will also try to prove that prices in common stores are noticeably higher than in e-shops.

The objective of the Diploma Thesis, which is divided into two parts, is to summarize the issue of wastewater treatment for teaching purposes. In the theoretical part, it is possible to find interesting facts from the history, the beginnings of sewerage in the Czech, treatises on sewage, urban and industrial sewage. The thesis describes waste water, its composition and explains the concept of sewerage. The most extensive chapter is the section on sewage treatment plants. It deals with the type of sewage plants, cleaning processes and water and legislation. Readers will be informed about the drainage in Benesov and the sewage treatment in this city. An integral part is the issue of sewage treatment plants for family houses and root cleaner. The empirical part focuses of the questionnaire examines the relation of school facilities to sewage treatment and especially the use of worksheets. There is a work sheet for pupils II. grade or primary school or the relevant years grammar schools was check in primary school Benesov, Dukelska 1818. The practical part also includes a design of the excursion to the seweage treatment in Benesov. The diploma thesis is focused on Storm water management in urban areas. The first task for processing thesis was to arrange meeting with MČ Brno - Bohunice Ing. Antonín Crha, who has provided necessary information about the targeted location the and the reservoir for accumulation of rainwater collected. The practical part of the thesis is to capture the rainwater drainage in the existing rainwater sewerage system using the newly built pumping station and then pumping into the existing, unused reservoir. Accumulated water in the reservoir is planned to be used for the needs of the city, gardeners and other customers. The first part of the diploma thesis describes the management of refined water in the Czech Republic, Denmark and Germany. The first part also provides description of measures and technologies for the management of rainwater. Finally, there is description of the pumping station and borehole objects and the program for calculating the rainfall from the urbanized area. In the practical part of the diploma thesis the selected variants are described, rewarded and evaluated. The diploma thesis deals with two variants, that are guided along the same route, with the difference of the construction of the drilled well in the second variant. Both variants are handled by pumping. The option of the gravity inflow was rejected because of the large countersink of rainwater sewerage.

Traditionally, ocean tides have been modelled in frequency domain with forcing of selected tidal constituents. It is a natural approach, however, non-linearities of ocean dynamics are implicitly neglected. An alternative approach is time-domain modelling with forcing given by the full lunisolar potential, i.e., all tidal constituents are included. This approach has been applied in several ocean tide models, however, a few challenging tasks still remain to solve, for example, the assimilation of satellite altimetry data. In this thesis, we present DEBOT, a global and time-domain barotropic ocean tide model with the full lunisolar forcing. DEBOT has been developed "from scratch". The model is based on the shallow water equations which are newly derived in geographical (spherical) coordinates. The derivation includes the boundary conditions and the Reynolds tensor in a physically consistent form. The numerical model employs finite differences in space and a generalized forward-backward scheme in time. The validity of the code is demonstrated by the tests based on integral invariants. DEBOT has two modes for ocean tide modelling: DEBOT-h, a purely hydrodynamical mode, and DEBOT-a, an assimilative mode. Evaluation of water use efficiency of short rotation poplar coppice at Bohemian-moravian highlands

The diploma thesis provides basic characteristics of short rotation coppice plantations, then the most significant short rotation coppice species cultivated in the Czech Republic are described. The detailed description of particular Populus L. clone J-105 grown at the plantation of the Test Station Domanínek Ltd. follows. Afterwards, key determinants of short rotation coppice yield are presented in the text. The last theoretical part of the thesis deals with water use efficiency (WUE) with emphasis on the method used at the experimental plantation in Domanínek. The methods of sap flow measurements and biomass determinations are described for this purpose. The main aim of the practical part of the thesis is to determine WUE of 16 measured trees where sap flow measuring systems were installed. These trees are divided into 3 cohorts according to diameters at breast height (DBH) at the beginning of the growing season 2013. The additional measurements were carried out: phenological imaging, soil moisture measurements, LAI measurements and sapwood area determination. The statistical analysis of WUE did not show any statistically significant differences between values of WUE for individual cohorts. Only in May, the statistically significant difference between cohort 1 (trees with the thickest stems) and cohort 3 (trees with the lowest values of DBH) appeared.

In my diploma thesis I reviewed the results of the collection of makrozoobentos and water chemistry on three streams, which are located on the right bank of the Lipno dam. This is a Bukový, Horský and Mlýnský stream. On these streams I watch a chemical properties of conductivity, pH and alkalinity. Of the biological i wathc diversity of each group of makrozoobentos and their abundance. I then compared the results with the values from the previous years, and assessed the gradual development of these aquatic communities.
