Práce analyzuje prezidentské volby v roce 2004 a kongresové volby v roce 2006 z pohledu zahraničněpolitických otázek. Identifikovány jsou zde hlavní témata zahraniční politiky a jejich vliv na průběh a výsledky voleb. Pozornost je věnována postojům Demokratické a Republikánské strany k těmto otázkám, stejně jako rozdílům v názorech a změnám, které se v postojích udály ve sledovaných volbách. Zkoumán je také vliv války v Iráku na veřejné mínění a zahraničněpolitické priority veřejnosti v roce 2004 a 2006.

Diplomová práce je zaměřená na prezidentské a parlamentní volby v Peru v roce 2006. Zabývá se charakteristikou peruánského ústavního systému a věnuje rovněž speciální pozornost systému volebnímu. Na základě tohoto teoretického vymezení a na základě charakteristiky hlavních aktérů peruánské občanské společnosti při volbách (zájmové a nátlakové organizace a politické strany), analyzuji v druhé části programy politických stran a samotný proces voleb, jejich strategií a výsledků.

This article aims to analyse the theory of second order elections and its application in elections at the local level, both generally and specifically in the Czech Republic. At first it presents the theory of second order elections and the possibilities of its application. It also talks about the progress of the electoral system at local level, the impact of its revisions on outcomes of election and the position of political parties in elections at local level. Then it focuses on the testing of the theory of second order elections for local elections in the Czech Republic in 2002 and 2006. Generally it evaluates the results of these local elections and compares the theoretical preconditions with the outcomes. Práce se zabývá situací v Mexiku před prezidentskými volbami v roce 2006. Nejprve je zhodnoceno funkční období odstupující administrativy prezidenta Vicenta Foxe Quesady a poté je v kontextu popsané společensko-ekonomické reality v zemi analyzován průběh předvolební kampaně.

The thesis deals with the development of the village Chanovice located in the Pilsen region on the western edge of the Klatovy district. It has six local districts, whose history is introduced. Part called Development of demographic shows regressive development of the population and its movement. The urban structure characterizes the appearance of the village and information on economic activity added perspective on employment in the region. In following part is presented the structure of the Municipal Authority, including councilors and mayor, who are the key players in local politics and thus indicate the direction in the development of the municipality. We can also look into the municipal budget in a simple summary of revenues and expenses. A considerable role in small villages is played by local communities and associations, of which there are countless in Chanovice and thus there are presented just those they have the greatest influence on the running of the village. The important part is the performance of political actors and description of each electoral period starting after the revolution in 1990 to 2014. In this part are mentioned some conflicts with which the Municipality meets and face them. Most information was obtained from semi-structured interviews, which were conducted with representatives of local political movements and former local politicians, and based on the method of understanding interview then interpreted in this thesis.

1 Abstract in English Thesis Presidential Elections in the history of the Czechoslovak state confronts individual successful Presidential Elections in the history of the Czechoslovak state from 1918 to 1992. Thesis describes its legislative forms (written level from acts) and its real processes (practical level from shorthand record and other sources) too. These two levels are compared to each other. Except it, the thesis compares Presidential Elections in the democratic state and in the period, when the Communist Party controls the Elections. Why I choose this theme? I would like to answer on some questions from introduction, for example: Does something connect something individual Presidential Elections? What was characteristic for the Elections in the democracy and in the communistic regime? Was there something unconstitutional from the Elections? Can knowledge of the historical evolution contribute discussions about the Presidential Election at present? The thesis is divided to seven chapters. The goal of this diploma thesis is to verify hypotheses that the current legal framework of election law is in accordance with constitutional principles. Furthermore, author's intention is to highlight parts of the statute which may violate the Constitution. Such verification or rejection of hypotheses is deduced from the answers on the research questions, for instance if the voting system used within the course of the election to the Czech House of Representatives and if is desirable to modify the voting system and, if relevant in what manner (by what means). In order to answer these questions, the author applied the method of analyzing primary and secondary information sources, their interpretation and deduction of relevant conclusions. This thesis is divided into twelve chapters (incl. preface and conclusion, resume and bibliography) provided that the merit of the work can be found from chapter five to chapter eight. This thesis analyses the transition to democracy in Peru and monitors the following development of the country after installing democratic regime. Since the democracy is the fundamental notion of this thesis, first of all it is defined and after is evaluated the current state of democracy in the world and more in detail in Latin America. The thesis shows that the transition to democracy in Peru was in many was similar to the others democratic processes in the region but also that it has certain specialities. In the end, the thesis evaluates the current state of democracy in Peru according to perception of the inhabitants of this country.

The topic of this thesis is the regional elections 2012 on example of South Bohemia region. In the theoretical part were described the regional administrative bodies and principles of regional elections. The practical part dealt with the analyses of the elections results and application of features of the second-order elections, which were described by Karlheinz Reif and Hermann Schmitt in the 70s years of the last century. In the theses was verified, that the government parties in the second order elections lose. These parties reached a minimum at mid-term of the legislative period and in this period lost a lot of their popularity. The most important aspect of second-order elections is that there is less at stake. This is the reason why the level of participation was lower in this type of elections. The last part of thesis deals with Theory of political coalitions. In the regional elections 2012 was established the minimal winning coalition, which included two left-wing political parties.

This thesis analyzes the election campaigns of six parties and movements (ANO 2011, ČSSD, TOP 09, ODS, KSČM, KDU-CSL) and one coalition (SPD-SPO). The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyze the election campaigns before the regional councils, which took place on 7.10. - 8.10.2016. In terms of methodology, qualitative research was applied in the diploma thesis. The first part of the thesis focuses on political marketing, which was used in the regional elections in 2016. The second part of the thesis deals with the campaigns of five parties of one movement and one coalition. Political parties have used various forms of political marketing in their campaigns. Elections to regional assemblies did not have one crucial topic to unify the entire political spectrum. Not even within the opposition was a single unifying theme linking the opposition against the government. Each political party chose its sub-theme. All parties had a centralized campaign. CSSD, KDU-ČSL and TOP 09 had a centralized campaign in part. Political party budgets ranged from 16 to 111 million. The least invested in the SPD-SPO coalition and most of the hnutí ANO 2011.
