International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 18-21, 2004 / Town & Country Resort, San Diego, California / This paper evaluates the performance as well as effectiveness of the High Speed Ethernet LANBased Distributed Telemetry Data Network Architecture. It also attempts to obtain a feasible solution for the Extension of LAN over High Performance Digital Modem via Routers and Bridges. With the advent of highly efficient broadband TCP/IP network and rapid growth of data traffic demand in the area of Telemetry Data Acquisition and Processing, one has to adopt a high bit rate PCM Telemetry Data Stream with the strategy of distributed task scheduling in multiprocessor environment. The proposed Telemetry System Architecture is adopted as a milestone to Modern Telemetry system. It incorporates various value added services for the performance evaluation of various flight vehicles providing authenticated data. This paper shows that by configuring the IP addresses of various nodes and router / bridges with V.35 interfaces, it is possible to extend the Telemetry Data on a local LAN to the remote LAN for display and high speed processing in real time. Necessary comparisons of performance of the existing to the proposed systems are presented.

Due to the special international status of Taiwan the area of economic cooperation represents one of the most important components of the country's foreign policy. Economic diplomacy is one of the major tools to promote the economic interests of a state in international relations. First, the paper discusses the theoretical definition of economic diplomacy and the changes in approach to foreign relations in Taiwan. Further, it characterizes the institutional system of Taiwan's economic diplomacy. Based on the comparison of Taiwan's bilateral relations with a diplomatic ally and with a country without diplomatic relations, it is examined whether the form or the content of mutual relations is more important in order to achieve the economic diplomacy's objectives.

<p>This work has been carried out at a company in the region which has about 30000 employeeswith about 400 sites all over the world. The company outsources their network including theLAN refresh and the WAN migration. They needed help with an upgrade of their LAN at theirScandinavian headquarters and to find a new solution for their WAN. The reason why the upgradeof the LAN was needed was that the equipment was too old and did not pass the securityrequirements. They also required a solution to segment their LAN, which consisted of a singlelarge VLAN with 1,300 employees. their WAN solution was made up of tunnels between all officesand the headquarter were used as the central point. They wanted to get away from beingdependent on a central point while redundancy was not always working as it should.The solution to the WAN problem was to use the ISPs backbone based on MPLS. There are two mainsolutions, layer 2 (Ethernet) VPN or layer 3 (IP) VPN. In the case of IP VPN, there are a couple of differentconnectivity options such as a static route, or use a routing protocol (eg OSPF or BGP). The final solutionwas IP VPN with OSPF as routing protocol to the ISP. With regard to the configuration of the OSPF solutionwas that every office became an own OSPF domain, configured with area 0. The report also includesthe implementation of the WAN migration with its problems.The upgrade of the LAN was a lot of planning, documentation and security. The solution for the segmentationwas to create a VLAN per floor. Because of the new software they can have the required securityfeatures.</p>

Along with the rise of smart phones, Google announced a mobile platform named Android, having the advantages of open source, free, etc, had become one of the popular mobile development platforms. But there are following restrictions on the file sharing of the smart phones: 1. The File Sharing between mobiles is used frequently, but the APP of the File Sharing in Google play contains user sharing their files on the same LAN, can¡¦t share on the WAN. 2. The cloud storage space has the file sharing strategy on WAN, but doesn¡¦t on LAN. 3. File sharing of mobile devices always hope to be able to share file through one-to-many Push, delivery to the nearby users but the app of the smart phone file sharing don¡¦t have this function. Therefore, this thesis architects a File Sharing platform, which is based on social networks, passing through pub/sub pattern to sharing files.In the File Sharing System, if users are on the same LAN can share files directly. We implement one-to-many file sharing system, so that users can obtain files automatically. If on the WAN, files are delivered by the intermediary server. This System also supports Multimedia streaming, users can play media from Server; need not download files in the local device. This paper use protocol buffer to the communication between devices, compared with the current common XML, JSON and other common file formats, there is a better package rates and privacy, and provides a convenient user interface to share files.
