Avaliação da preferência do paciente e do cirurgião dentista entre enceramento diagnóstico convencional e digital /

Orientador: João Maurício Ferraz da [Unesp] Silva / Resumo: Este estudo foi descritivo e teve como objetivo avaliar os enceramentos diagnóstico convencional e o digital, baseados no mesmo Planejamento Digital do Sorriso em 2D, realizado através de um protocolo fotográfico. Foram selecionados 20 pacientes, que foram moldados com alginato para obtenção dos modelos de estudo convencional e foram também escaneados para a obtenção do modelo virtual utilizado para o enceramento digital. O planejamento 2D foi então enviado ao laboratório de prótese juntamente com os modelos em gesso e os modelos virtuais, realizando então os enceramentos diagnósticos. A prova destes enceramentos foi realizada por meio de um ensaio restaurador seguindo uma ordem aleatorizada. A avaliação do ensaio restaurador foi feita sob a preferência de um dentista avaliador experiente e especialista em prótese dentária e do paciente através de questionário. Foi avaliada também, a preferência do paciente em relação às técnicas de impressão: analógica e digital. As respostas foram tabuladas e submetidas a teste estatístico. Os pacientes mostraram preferência pelo enceramento diagnóstico convencional em relação ao digital em 65% dos casos. Os pacientes mostraram preferência pelo método de impressão digital em relação ao convencional em 80% dos casos. O dentista avaliador mostrou preferência pelo enceramento convencional em 50% dos casos e pelo digital em 50% dos casos. / Abstract: This study was descriptive and aimed to evaluate the conventional and digital diagnostic waxing, based on the same 2D Digital Smile Planning, performed through a photographic protocol. Twenty patients were selected, who were molded with alginate to obtain the conventional study models and were also scanned to obtain the virtual model used for digital waxing. The 2D planning was then sent to the prosthesis laboratory together with the plaster models and the virtual models, performing the diagnostic waxing. The testing of these waxing was performed by a restorative assay following a randomized order. The evaluation of the restorative trial was made under the preference of an evaluating dentist and the patient through a questionnaire. It was also evaluated the patient's preference over printing techniques: conventional and digital. The answers were tabulated and subjected to statistical test. The patients showed preference for the conventional waxing over the digital one in 65% of the cases. Patients showed a preference for the fingerprint method over the analog in 80% of the cases. The evaluating dentist showed a preference for analogous waxing in 50% of cases and digital for waxing in 50% of cases. / Mestre

ON THE ORIGIN AND FUNCTION OF WAXING AND WANING IN PACEMAKER ACTIVITY IN THE SMALL INTESTINE

<p>The small intestine of the gastrointestinal tract displays a variety of motor patterns involved in the mixing, digestion, and propulsion of luminal content. Ultimately, it is the co-ordinated effort of smooth muscle contraction influenced by neural and myogenic stimulation that facilitate these motor patterns. While neural input from the enteric nervous system (ENS) and slow wave producing activity of the peacemaking interstitial cells of Cajal (ICC) in the myenteric plexus (ICC-MP) are key players in the manipulation of smooth muscle cells, the mechanisms behind the onset the segmentation motor pattern are currently unknown. I have demonstrated with intracellular recordings of electrical activity from circular smooth muscle cells, the same nutrient stimulants used to induce the segmentation motor pattern in whole organ preparations evokes the waxing waning phenomenon of the smooth muscle slow wave. Through the use of continuous wavelet transformation analysis on nutrient induced waxing waning, it was determined that the induction of a rhythmic low frequency component is responsible for the generation of waxing waning. Stimulated low frequency activity after methylene blue mediated elimination of ICC-MP slow wave activity suggested the low frequency component did not originate from the ICC-MP. The hypothesis emerged that the ICC of the deep muscular plexus (ICC-DMP), on the opposite side of the circular muscle thickness to the ICC-MP, were responsible for the low frequency oscillations. ICC-DMP networks in close physical proximity to nerve fibers were found to be under tonic inhibited by nitric oxide, and to respond to substance P stimulation. Both alleviation of the inhibition and stimulus by tachykinergic neurotransmission induced the low frequency component and waxing waning. The ENS and myogenic pacemakers play an important role in stimulating the segmentation motor pattern. ICC-DMP are the pacemakers responsible for generation of the low frequency component involved in waxing waning and segmentation.</p> / Master of Science (MSc)

Wax-accessory for cross-country skiers : Development of a wax-bench that collect waste

This is a master thesis report for MSc in Industrial Design Engineering at Luleå University of Technology. It is a development project where a wax-bench for cross-country skiing has been developed. The wax-bench have been developed to facilitate the clean-up for the user and to gather all wax-accessories at one place. In this report the entire project can be followed from start to finish, how the requirements were found, who is the user, what should the product handle and how was the ideas ge- nerated. The final result is a wax- box that is vacuum formed and folded in the middle. In the box there are adjustable profiles to place the ski on and an adjustable attachment part in the center that attaches to the skis binding. The box acts as a collector of the waste that is produced when waxing skis, and as storage of waxing accessories when not in use. How to install the accessory in the box is not yet determined, but the idea is to develop a specific bag that fits perfectly in the wax-box and includes all the usual accessories. This bag should then be taken out when you wax and put back in the box after complete the waxing. / I den här rapporten kan man följa ett examensarbete för civilingenjörsprogrammet Tek- nisk Design på Luleå Tekniska Universitet. Projektet består av ett utvecklingsarbete där en vallabänk för längdskidåkning har utvecklas. Vallabänken har utvecklats för att underlätta städningen för användaren och för att samla alla vallatillbehör på en och samma plats. I den här rapporten kan man följa hela projektet från start till mål, hur kraven hittades, vem är användaren, vad ska produkten klara av och hur genererades ideer. Det slutgiltiga resultatet är en valla-låda som är vakuumformad och viks ihop på mitten. I lådan finns det justerbara profiler att placera skidan på samt ett justerbart fäste i mitten som fäster i skidans bindning. Lådan fungerar som uppsamlare av skräpet som bildas när man vallar skidor och som förvaring av vallatillbehör när den inte används. Hur valla-tillbehöret ska placeras är ännu inte fastställt men tanken är att det ska utvecklas en specifik väska som passar in perfekt i valla-boxen och som har plats för alla de vanliga tillbehören. Denna väska ska sedan gå att plocka ur när man vallar och placera tillbaka i boxen efter utförd vallning.
