Esse instrumento de luta da classe trabalhadora sofreu influências do contexto externo - político, movimentos sindical e operário - que exerceram pressão sobre seu fazer, enquanto conciliadora de interesses entre os envolvidos. Como os trabalhadores utilizaram desse instrumento - Justiça do Trabalho - para defender seus direitos? Como a Justiça do Trabalho lidou com situações conflituosas do mundo do trabalho e como aplicou a lei? A partir de dissídios coletivos e individuais, entrevistas com trabalhadores, um advogado, juízes, funcionários do Tribunal Regional do Trabalho e de um líder sindical, além das matérias do Jornal O Povo, busco responder a essas questões à luz das fontes judiciais e bibliográficas, contribuindo para o estudo da história dos trabalhadores e da Justiça do Trabalho / Abstract: This research analyses the justice of the work in the city of Fortaleza, in the years from 1946 to 1964, whose juridical arena is permeated of conflicts, tensions and negotiations between workers and bosses. This instrument of fight of the worker class suffered influences of the external context - political, syndical and worker movements - that exerted pression about its do it, whereas conciliater of interests among the people envolved. How did workers utilize of this instrument - justice of the work - to defend their rights? How did the justice of the work deal with conflict situations of the world of the work and how did apply the law? From collective and individuals dissidious, interviews with workers, lawyers, judges, workers of tribunal regional of work, and of a syndical leader, beyond of material of the magazine O Povo, I search answer to these questions in front of the judicial and bibliographical sources, contributing to the study of the history of the workers and the justice of the work / Doutorado / Historia Social / Doutor em História
