The following research work has directed its efforts towards the study of the cognitive process in projecting architecture and urbanism. There is a naed to reorient this projection to a current pedagogical framework in terms of sustainability due to the actual narrow link between architecture and nature that has been neglected as a consequence of the industrial progress, the economic outburst, the ongoing concept of development and many other variables. Schools of Architecture gather the top performing professionals, but to the best of our knowledge none of them have a degree as teachers or educators of future architects specifically in the area of building and urban projection. This situation motivated the research of the present doctoral thesis together with the need to promote and develop an ethical attitude towards the environmant in architects to be. This implies the goal of conducting them to the appreciation of the environmental variables that instead of diminishing the poetical potential of a building or urban conglomerate, enhance aspects like transparency, light, forms and materials in relation to the landscape. As priority in the development of the different variables that the students must control and process, this document was organized to offer strategies, methods and techniques that allow these students to leam how to "feel and perceive" the numerous sansitive, mathematical and cultural data of a site in order to proceed to propose architectural ideas that respond to the needs of programming, construction and climate of a building. The main goal of this doctoral thesis is to provide future architects with a new educational model that will aid in structuring a necassary creative process in the formulation and lmplementation of construction and urbanism sustainable oriented project. This project shall in a generous and sensible manner open all formal special and constructive possible alternatives to ulilize energy from the sun, earth, water and wind with the intention of resolving the ideal conditions of comfort; combining in an integrated form architecture and energy. Energy being an special concept in the building and asserting energies from nature in urban development. Since the Teacher is a key piece in the educational process of the student, this study defines the educational goal to be considerad by formers, so they can develop independently their own methodology and guide the student in their first steps in their own version of project and energy. The investigation process was organized starting wíth hístorical study of the concept of pedagogy, passing then to the cognitive process of the "designer" brain, where we will find modern key concepts as black box, transparent box and learning techniques instrumental to the process of teaching and knowledge acquisition useful in the teaching of architecture and in areas of building projection and urbanism as well. Next, the modern methodological basis for the designer is outlined, and also the necessary tool for the mathod proposed by this thesis is established: Energy in the environment for architecture and urbanism. From there I move on with a hypothesis that involves energy in the project and for that purpose a masslve search of current building and urbanism associated ton energy and the environment is conducted. All the above completed, the definition of a methodology that synthetizes the cognitive processes is presented. Testing and execution of the hypothesis by the teacher during his practice, is carried out at the end of the investigation, therefore completing the verification of the goals outlined and the cognitive results of the students. / El presente trabajo de investigación ha dirigido sus esfuerzos a estudiar el proceso cognitivo en la proyectación de la arquitectura y el urbanismo, con la necesidad de re orientarla hacia un marco pedagógico actual en términos de sostenibilidad, como consecuencia de ver que el estrecho vínculo entre arquitectura y naturaleza hasta nuestros días ha sido dejado de lado como consecuencia de la prioridad dada al progreso industrial, el auge económico, al concepto de desarrollo y muchas variables más. Las escuelas de Arquitectura reúnen lo más selecto de los profesionales en ejercicio, pero hasta donde se sabe ninguno posee título de Profesor o formador de futuros arquitectos en especial en el área de proyectar edificios y ciudad, situación que motivó la investigación de esta tesis doctoral junto con la necesidad de estimular para desarrollar en el futuro profesional de la arquitectura y el urbanismo una actitud ética hacia el medio ambiente, ámbito que significa conducirlo por el camino en el cual se observa que las variables ambientales antes que disminuir el potencial poético de un edificio o urbe, lo refuerzan con aspectos como la transparencia, la luz, los materiales, las formas y su relación con el paisaje. Como prioridad para desarrollar las diversas variables que debe controlar y procesar el estudiante de arquitectura, la orientación de este documento se organizó en dirección a ofrecer estrategias, métodos y técnicas para que él mismo aprenda a "sentir y percibir" el lugar con sus innumerables datos sensitivos, matemáticos y culturales con los cuales proceder a proponer ideas arquitectónicas para dar respuesta a las necesidades de programa, de construcción y de clima de una edificación. Como Objetivo primordial, esta tesis doctoral busca para la formación del futuro arquitecto aportar un método pedagógico que ayude a estructurar el proceso creativo necesario para la formulación y ejecución del proyecto de edificación y del urbanismo con carácter sostenible, el cual debe de manera sensible y generosa, abrir todas las alternativas formales, espaciales y constructivas posibles para utilizar la energía proveniente del sol, la tierra, el viento y el agua, con la intención de resolver las condiciones idóneas de confort combinando de manera integral la arquitectura y la energía como concepto espacial en el edificio y recurriendo a las energías de la naturaleza en el desarrollo urbano local. Como el docente es pieza fundamental en el proceso de formación del estudiante, esta tesis establece los objetivos pedagógicos a ser tenidos en cuenta por parte del formador, para desarrollar de manera autónoma su metodología de enseñanza y guiar al alumno en los primeros pasos de la búsqueda de su versión de proyecto y energía. El proceso de la investigación se ordenó a partir del estudio histórico conceptual de pedagogía, pasando luego al proceso cognitivo del cerebro del "diseñador", en donde aparecen conceptos modernistas claves como lo son la caja negra, la caja transparente y técnicas de aprendizaje fundamentales en el proceso de instrucción y adquisisción de conocimiento, útiles tanto en la pedagogía de la arquitectura en las áreas de proyectar edificación y el urbanismo. Paso posterior a la base metodológica modernista del diseñador, se establece la otra herramienta necesaria en el método propuesto de esta tesis: La energía del ambiente en la arquitectura y urbanismo. De allí se parte con una hipótesis que involucre la energía en la proyectación y para ello se realiza una exhaustiva búsqueda de edificación y urbanismo actuales ligados a la energía y el medio ambiente. Con esto y el mencionado capítulo de instrucción al diseñador se procede a elaborar la metodología que hace síntesis de los procesos cognitivos. La prueba y puesta en ejercicio docente de la hipótesis metodológica se realiza al final de la investigación y con ello la verificación de objetivos trazados y resultados cognitivos de los estudiantes.

Der urbane Raum wird zunehmend von den BürgerInnen selbst gestaltet: Sie pflanzen Blumen in ungenutzten Bereichen oder markieren Flächen als Fahrradwege, wo diese gebraucht werden (Fabian & Samson, 2016). Auch wenn die Rechte und Pflichten der BürgerInnen nicht immer klar sind (Finn, 2014), steigt das Interesse an der Partizipation zu praktischen Projekten für den urbanen Raum (Talen, 2015) und verändert so auch die Denkweisen sowie Prozesse der Stadtverwaltung (Danenberg & Haas, 2019). Einzelne BürgerInnen oder Gruppen identifizieren Probleme, die sie schnell und selbst lösen (Iveson, 2013). Diese bottom-up (aus der Bevölkerung heraus) initiierten Vorhaben tragen zum Erscheinungsbild und zum Verständnis unserer urbanen Räume bei (Fabian & Samson, 2016).
