The Reasearch on the employee''s of the Enterprise Environmental Protection and Development Stratagem - an Example from the TECO Company / 企業員工對環保措施及發展策略認知之研究—以東元電機公司為例

碩士 / 臺中師範學院 / 環境教育研究所 / 89 / Due to the increase of the global environmental protection consciousness, the enterprise needs to promote overall environmental protection measures, stratagem and environmental management systems to replace previous ending treatment method of according with releasing standards. However, whether the enterprise’s environmental protection measures and environmental management system are fulfilled, promoted effectively depend on whether the company’s environmental protection measures, stratagem, environmental management system, and environmental protection responsibility are understood and agreed by the overall employees of the company. Hence, in this study, TECO Electrical Company is used as an example, and the understanding and agreement degree of general employees and leaders of high rank about enterprise’s environmental protection measures, development measures, and environmental management systems are investigated to propose concrete suggestions as a reference of promoting above environmental protection works. The research takes the employees and the directors of TECO corporation and the experts as study subjects. The subjects are chosen form stratified random sampling to do the questionnaires. Within all the questionnaires, the effective ones are 301 and the Cronbach αcoefficient representing the reliability of the questionnaires is 0.823. For the survey of the directors we takes the method of Delphi survey, and there are 16 directors participating it. As for the experts, we adopt questionnaire survey, and there are 7 experts accepting the interview. The results are summarized as below: 1. The pressure of environmental protection comes mainly from the environmental regulations, international environmental tendency and the requirements of high-level directors. Although the pressure of the consumer, the mass and the financial banks is smaller, the future effect of the financial banks should not be overlooked. 2. To all enterprises pollutant preventing incidents is the most basic and important environmental task; in the next place, in order to persist their environmental performance, they should put the environmental management into practice, promoting their green culture and develop the most well-developed technologies. 3. The employees of TECO believe that when manufacturing products, it is economizing energy and electricity that should be taken into account first, and the second is superior quality of the products, the third is not to use the ozone-depleting substances and to minimize the recipient pollution during the manufacturing process. Low price and good-looking exterior are taken as the last consideration. 4. It is helpful for the enterprises to carry out the training of environmental protecting education to promote the employee’s knowledge of environmental protection. Therefore, in order to offer appropriate education trainings, the enterprises should estimate the different demands of every department and the diverse quality of employees before carrying the education out. 5. On the one hand, the mass puts higher and higher premium on the demand of keeping informed, and on the other, the enterprises have strengthen the communication between stakeholders; therefore, the trend of issuing the environmental reports of the enterprises will become more and more essential. 6. The employees of TECO believe that the key factor of putting the environment strategy into practice is that the high-level directors should take it into account and all the directors and employees should participate in it actively. All these show the importance of the role of human beings. Even though there are all kinds of strategies, without paying much attention to the staff, they will not be put into effect.

A Study on Motivation, Locus of Control and Job Satifaction of the Volunteer Interpreters at Yushan National Park / 玉山國家公園解說志工參與動機、制控信念與工作滿足之研究

The relationships among VI motivation, locus of control, and job satisfaction were also studied. A total of 277 valid questionnaires were collected through mail survey. The results showed gender was positive correlated with " The satisfaction of organization atmosphere". Age was negative correlated with "The motivation of responding others expectations" and "The satisfaction of social need". Seniority was positive correlated with "The satisfaction of social need" and "The satisfaction of knowledge and skill". "The satisfaction of social need", "The motivation of responding others expectations" and " The satisfaction of self growth" were positive correlated with Education. Income was positive correlated with "The motivation of social need" and "The satisfaction of overall". Past Experience was correlated with "The motivation of self growth", "The motivation of achievement", "The motivation of social response", "The motivation of responding others expectations", "The satisfaction of self growth", "The satisfaction of job characteristic", and "The satisfaction of overall". Locus of control was correlated with "The motivation of self growth", "The motivation of achievement" and all of the job satisfaction dimensions. Motivations were correlated with Job satisfactions. There were significant differences in "The satisfaction of overall" among VI association location. In Important-Performance analysis, the factors located in "Opportunity quadrant" are "The satisfaction of knowledge and skill", "The satisfaction of job characteristic", "The satisfaction of self growth" and "The satisfaction of overall". The factor located in "Weakness quadrant" is "The satisfaction of organization atmosphere". The factor located in "Strength quadrant" is "The satisfaction of social need". No factors located in "Threat quadrant".

東部海岸國家風景區管理處解說義工參與動機及解說認知之研究

碩士 / 臺中師範學院 / 環境教育研究所 / 89 / The East Coast National Scenic Area Administration (ECNSAA) has promoted the system of volunteer interpreters since 1992. Initially 115 enthusiasts were involved. There are, however, only 21 volunteer interpreters operating now. The study uses the methods of documentary analysis, surveys, and personal interviews which fall into the categories of personal characters, motivation, work satisfaction, review of system, and cognition of interpretation. We find as a result: 1.The incentives for the volunteer interpreters are (in successive order) to learn knowledgeable skills, to share experience and to make an effort to improve the environment and to promote a love of their hometown and to spread altruism among people. 2.Most volunteer interpreters in ECNSAA regard interpretation as recreational service. However, those who regard interpretation as environmental education keep holding the post at much higher rate. 3.The work satisfaction of volunteer interpreters for ECNSAA is high in general. 4.The work satisfaction being studied based on the 3 major factors which are the achievements of self-accomplishment,altruism, and socializing activities. 5.Among the volunteer interpreters, it has been showed that elders, business-owners, people who have strong sense of altruism, high satisfaction of the work, better self-accomplishment, or characters of cognition of interpretation are intended to stay on the post much longer. 6.The main factors which result in the discharge as a volunteer interpreter are as follows: personal reasons, unidentification about the working culture of ECNSAA, the improper manners expressed by the personnel in ECNSAA, and the lack of ability in dealing with the required work. 7.The direct motivations for volunteer interpreters to continue or get back to work are the sense of honor, responsibilities, the opportunities for one''s ideal to come true, the respect to volunteer interpreters from ECNSAA, and the adjustments for ECNSAA to manage the east coast by means of environmental protection knowledge.

Study on the Standardized Evaluation of Air Pollution Concept for the Middle and High Grade Students in Elementary Schools / 國小中、高年級空氣污染概念標準化評量之研究

The influence of air pollution on humans is the most direct and serious, therefore, the teaching of air pollution concept and related knowledge is one of the most important issues of new nine-year-consistency citizen education courses. To understand the sources, contents, requirements of the air pollution concepts of the elementary students, and whether there are some misconceptions or not, the standardized evaluation tables of air pollution concepts for the middle and high grade elementary students were complied in this study as an effective evaluation tool of learning diagnosis, accomplishment evaluation, and teaching improvement for the environmental education of air pollution in elementary schools. In this study, related literature and courses were analyzed, the cognitive mapping of air pollution developed by Professor Min-Ray Lin was used to compile the semi-open-ended questionnaire. From the semi-structured interview, the concepts and misconceptions of elementary students were investigated. From the analysis results, the pretest questions were compiled. The questions were then examined by senior teachers, and environmental education experts. After two times of pretest, including statistic analyses, selection of questions, and revision of questions, final version of the evaluation table was compiled. Test of large scale were conducted to examine the reliability, and validity, to establish the norm of known air pollution concepts, to derive the scoring tables, and to compile the instruction manuals. The abstract of the study is as follows: The numbers of known concept by the middle and high grade elementary students are 20, and 36 respectively, and the numbers of unknown concept are 17, and 13 respectively. From the interview results, it was shown that the misconception number of the air pollution for the middle and high grade students is 17 and 20, and the misconception that both of the middle and high grade students have are: (1) the photosynthesis and respiration of plants, (2) whether CO2 destroys the ozone layer or not, (3) whether air has weight or not, (4) whether air is compressible or not, (5) whether air can block ultraviolet or not, etc.. In this study the question numbers in the standardized evaluation table of air pollution concept compiled for the middle grade students is 20, the passing percentages are between 0.407 and 0.762, the indices of discrimination are between 0.260 and 0.518, the retest reliability is 0.821, the α coefficient is 0.687. The question numbers for the high grade students is 25, the passing percentages are between 0.321 and 0.798, the indices of discrimination are between 0.260 and 0.525, the retest reliability is 0.736, the α coefficient is 0.707. Both sets of the questions have a good content validity, and a good surface validity. Furthermore, the major sources from which students get their air pollution knowledge are teachers, televisions, and texts. The major sources of the middle grade students are class teachers, natural science teachers, and those who got their knowledge from class teachers had much better accomplishment. The major sources of the high grade students are natural science teachers, and social science teachers.

The Study of Green Consumption Attitude and Green Consumption Behavior for Teacher College Students / 師院學生的綠色消費態度與綠色消費行為之研究

This study focused on three aspects, namely, the influence of personal characteristics on green consumption attitude and green consumption behavior, the relationship between green consumption attitude and green consumption behavior, as well as the necessity of green consumption education for teacher college students. The major conclusions and suggestions were proposed for the promotion of green consumption education. Based on literature search, major variables affecting green consumption were defined as sex, major, grade, pocket-money availability, credit card usage, environment courses taken, participation in environment protection activity, perception for environmental protection responsibility, sensitivity of consumption behavior and environmental theme, environmental values and locus of control. The fundamental tools used in the present study were self-designed questionnaire based on green consumption attitude and green consumption behavior scales. It takes layered random samples from nine teacher colleges. There were 395 effective samples. The statistic analysis performed were t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson correlation analysis. The main findings for this study were: 1. For all of the factors concerning teacher college students’ green consumption attitudes, “green products”, “consumer conservation” and “assess requirement” were positively correlated. However, the attitudes for “recycle and reuse” and for “requests and influence” need to be enforced. 2. For teacher college students’ green consumption behavior, “recycle and reuse”, “consumer conservation” and “assessing requirement” were practiced often, but “green products purchasing ” and “requests and influence” were neglected relatively. 3.There are significant correlation between “green consumption attitude” and “green consumption behavior” for teacher college students. 4.The major variables affecting teacher college students’ green consumption attitude are sex, environmental values,locus of control, sensitivity of consumption behavior and environmental theme and environmental protection responsibility. 5. The major variables that influence teacher college students’ green consumption behavior are pocket money, study environmental protection course, sensitivity of consumption behavior and environmental theme. Few suggestions for the green consumption education in teacher colleges was proposed based on the results of this study.

This study was divided into two parts to assess the effectiveness of the two ways for the elementary school students. First, this study was explored the efforts of these two ways for students'' learning achievement. Researcher designed an integrated curriculum which was based on "Cylinder and Cone". This integrated curriculum included sixteen courses, and three assessments. These three assessments were traditional pencil-paper assessment, individual performance assessment, and group performance assessment. Researcher compared students'' forward learning achievement with the afterwards in these assessments to analyze which way is better. Second, researcher took an interview with these teachers to analyze the differences between these two ways. The subjects consisted of 76 sixth-grade-students in two classes. Forty students were assigned to single-teacher-instruction group, and thirty-six students were assigned to many-teachers-instruction group. Pretests were administered before the experimental teaching, and posttests after that. Researcher used the covariate to assess effectiveness of the two ways. The results derived from the analysis of the data collected were summarized as the following: (一)Students'' learning achievement 1.The single-teacher-instruction group has higher scores than many-teachers-instruction group in traditional pencil-paper assessment. 2.There was no significant difference in individual performance assessment. 3.There was no significant difference in group performance assessment. (二)The view of teachers 1. Single-teacher-instruction had more advantages in contact with teachers, communication between teachers and students, and orders in class. 2. Many-teachers-instruction had more advantages in teaching resources, teachers’ abilities, time, students’ reaction, influence to students, and evaluation.

英語科新式選擇題型之試題分析研究─以「高職免試登記入學方案」彰化區為例─

By using the result from the second formal examination in Chung-Hua area of the Vocational School Entrance Project as the analysis data. Then to analysis and compare for whole series by focusing on the progress of language tests, foreign and domestic English lessons, the teaching and assessment standard, the statistical analysis of questions and the statistical analysis of tests. From all the analytic effects, we could get the following conclusions: 1.The new-style test is able to meet the demand of this era better than the traditional-style test did. The former one could be statistical analyzed and could be used to exam the higher English ability of the examinee. 2.Comparing the new-style test and the traditional-style test, the former one fit the standard of English lessons in Republic of China. 3.American Whole Language Teaching (AWLT) emphasized on practical language skills and stratagems in order to progress thinking and discussion and to create the teaching activities. We have to use the new- style test that has the new- style testing characteristic and was issued by National Assessment Govern Board (NAGB) so that we could test the outcome after teaching. It is not suitable to use the traditional-style test that has been used to test the lower English ability. 4.Through cautious progress of researching and developing for questions, creating, auditing tests, holding formal examinations and making test banks.etc. Both of the new style test and the traditional- style test have outstanding records in statistical analysis. It showed those progresses are reliable and workable. Form the result of statistical test, we could make a conclusion that two different styles of test are according with the expected target. Because the average difficulty is 0.592 and the average discrimination has reached 0.622, we could know that the new -style test is more nimble and flexible than the traditional- style test did. 5.Although the total value distribution of this test showed slightly bimodal distribution, this consequence mostly because of the traditional- style test. The total value distribution of the new- style test indicated negatively skewness distribution and the fine reliability of whole test reached 0.944. It proved this is a highly stable test. Some of the new style test has fine reliability and reached 0.920. To compare the traditional style test that has the same total questions as the new -style test had, the former one is a lot less than the later one. Therefore, the new -style test could be used in the entrance examination. In short, we realized this research revealed the new -style test has a lot of good qualities than that of the traditional style test and the former one could be used in the huge entrance examinations in the future. The related institutions can refer to this testing progress for its completeness and cautiousness while they are making the test banks and practicing tests.

The method used in this study is quasi-experimental design with two groups. The sum of the sampling subjects administered in the study are 145. The assessment procedures administered in the study are paper-and-pencil test and portfolio assessment. Four tasks were administered in the semester. Results indicated that: 1. The effect of the portfolio assessment on student’s successful expectancy is better than paper-and-pencil test. 2. The learning motivation of the students using portfolio assessment is self-guided. 3. We can use portfolio assessment to improve the learning motivation of the third grade students in elementary science subject because it is more helpful than paper-and-pencil test. The researcher provided some suggestions for classroom assessment practice, administrative units, and further research. In future, new-education will pay much attention to assessment. The portfolio assessment is the way that could be implemented. We must know it more.
