Previous issue date: 2015-03-13 / This paper offers a reading of the novel Leite Derramado (2009), Chico Buarque, the
main theorist Walter Benjamin. The irony, memory and allegory are the main
elements that promote the analysis of the work. From the diagnosis of the
philosopher that the traditional form of narrative as art of giving advice and authentic
experience transferability, would be endangered, the research proposes to
investigate the possibility of their survival in the contemporary world. The novel
analysis collects the discontinuous and fragmented account of narrator, Eulalio.
Themes such as death, old age, memory is fundamental to understand the trajectory
of the character s life. The work has a very strong character and the literary elements,
the title itself, Leite Derramado is a metaphorical allusion to things not lived the
character, so it notices a memory and melancholy. All these elements of memory and
melancholy mix in a literary set of production, with the focus also irony and allegory. / Este trabalho oferece uma leitura do romance Leite Derramado (2009), de Chico
Buarque, tendo como principal teórico Walter Benjamin. A ironia, a memória e a
alegoria são os elementos principais que fomentam a análise da obra. A partir do
diagnóstico do filósofo de que a forma tradicional de narrativa, como arte de dar
conselhos e transmissibilidade de experiência autêntica, estaria em vias de extinção,
a pesquisa propõe-se a investigar a possibilidade de sua sobrevivência na
contemporaneidade. A análise do romance recolhe no relato descontínuo e
fragmentado do narrador, Eulálio. Temas como a morte, a velhice, a memória são
elementos fundamentais para entender a trajetória de vida do personagem. A obra
tem um caráter muito forte quanto aos elementos literários, o próprio título, Leite
Derramado é uma alusão metafórica de coisas não vividas pelo personagem, assim
nota um nisto de memória e melancolia. Todos esses elementos de memória e
melancolia se misturam em um conjunto literário de produção, tendo como focos
também a ironia e alegoria.
