Surfplattan, ett verktyg för barn i alla åldrar? : En jämförelsestudie om arbetet med surfplattan i förskolan med de yngsta och de äldsta barnen. / The tablet, a tool for children of all ages? : A comparison study on the working of the tablet device in preschool with the youngest and the oldest children.

Det här är en jämförelsestudie om användandet av surfplattan i förskolan. Syftet med undersökningen är att ta reda på hur pedagogerna använder surfplattan i förskolan. Vilka skillnader eller likheter visar sig i användandet av surfplattan beroende på barns ålder. För att få svar på undersökningens frågeställning intervjuades pedagoger från två olika förskolor, pedagoger som arbetar med de yngre barnen och pedagoger som arbetar med de äldre barnen. Resultatet visar att pedagogerna med de yngre barnen vill att barnen ska få utforska verktyget och få upplevelser genom surfplattan. De vill också använda surfplattan som ett verktyg i sitt arbete. Utifrån resultatet är pedagogerna med de äldre barnen rädda att surfplattan ska bli en spelmaskin för barnen. De anser att om barnen ska använda surfplattan ska det vara i ett utvecklande och lärande syfte. / This is a comparative study on the use of the tablet device in preschool. The aim with this study is to find out how the teachers are using the tablet device in preschool. Depending on the child's age, what differences or similarities becomes evident in the use of the the tablet device? In order to get answers to the research questions teachers from two different preschools was interviewed.Teachers who work with the younger children and teachers who work with the older children. The result shows that teachers with the younger children want their children to explore the tool and gain experiences through the tablet device. The teachers also want to use the tablet device as a tool in their work. Based on the results, it seems that teacher with older children are afraid that the tablet only will be used for playing games. They believe that if children are going to use the tablet device, it should be with a developmental and learning intention.
