Previous issue date: 2016 / O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar um debate atual sobre o pensamento de Ludwig Wittgenstein, que gira em torno da hipótese de que o filósofo austríaco haveria se tornado um relativista em sua fase tardia. Entretanto, essa é uma discussão que requer o conhecimento prévio de muitos conceitos desenvolvidos por Wittgenstein ao longo de toda sua trajetória filosófica. A fim de esclarecer alguns desses conceitos, o desenvolvimento deste trabalho consistirá, primeiramente, na revisão bibliográfica de duas grandes obras de Wittgenstein: o Tractatus logico-philosophicus e as Investigações Filosóficas, para que seja possível compreender as concepções de linguagem e de ética que estão presentes em cada uma delas, além de analisar os aspectos divergentes e convergentes entre ambas, que são de grande importância para a compreensão do debate acerca do relativismo. Em segundo lugar, será feita uma distinção entre tipos de relativismo e uma análise do texto de Wittgenstein intitulado Conferência sobre Ética para, enfim, ser apresentado o debate entre intérpretes relativistas e não relativistas e avaliar em que ponto é possível situar as ideias de Wittgenstein nesse debate.<br> / Abstract : The aim of this dissertation is to present a current debate about Ludwig Wittgenstein?s thought which revolves around the hypothesis that the Austrian philosopher had become in his late stage a relativistic. However, this is a discussion that requires prior knowledge of many concepts developed by Wittgenstein throughout his philosophical career. In order to clarify some of these concepts, the development of this dissertation firstly will consist of a bibliographical review of Wittgenstein?s two great works: Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus and Philosophical Investigations, in order to comprehend both language and ethics conceptions that are present in each one of them, as well as analyzing the divergent and convergent aspects between both, which are quite important for the understanding the debate about relativism. Secondly, it will be made a distinction between types of relativism and an analysis of Wittgenstein?s text titled Lecture on Ethics to, finally, present the debate between relativistic and nonrelativistic interpreters, and evaluate to what extent it is possible put Wittgenstein?s ideas in this debate.
