VIOLENCE IN CLOSE RELATIONSHIPS DOES NOT RETIREE.A QUALITATIVE STUDY ABOUT HOW VIOLENCE AGAINST ELDERLY WOMEN IS PORTRAYED IN NEWSPAPERS. BATOUL ZEIN Zein B. Violence in close relationships does not retiree. A qualitative study about how violence against elderly women is portrayed in the newspapers. Degree project in social work 15 högskolepoäng. Malmö University: Faculty of Health and Society, Department of Social work, 2020.The aim of this study is to examine how violence against older women in close relationships is portrayed in the newspapers. This purpose has been formed on the basis that the topic of violence against older women in close relationships is a hidden societal problem and also under-reported in the media. Violence that older women are exposed to may have lasted a long time or debuted just as she got older. But society has an image that the elderly cannot be exposed or expose others to violence. In fact, the violence that occurs among the elderly in close relationships does not differ from partner violence in general. This type of violence is characterized by the elderly women's vulnerability to the violence that increases when she is addicted to the perpetrator. Keywords: abuse, elderly women, close relations, media.
