Bakgrund: Vid palliativ vård botas inte längre sjukdomen, utan fokus ligger på att lindra patientens symtom. Patienter med palliativ vård förekommer på olika vårdenheter och därmed är det nödvändigt att sjuksköterskan är kompetent inom området och arbetar yrkesetiskt. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva patienters upplevelser av palliativ vård. Metod: Som metod valdes en litteraturöversikt som inkluderar tio kvalitativa och kvantitativa studier. PubMed och Cinahl Complete var de två databaser som användes och artiklarna analyserades enligt Fribergs analyssteg. Resultat: Fyra teman identifierades i resultatet: Patienters upplevelser av vårdpersonal vid palliativ vård, Patienters upplevelser av familjen vid palliativ vård, Vikten av det sociala livet vid palliativ vård och Känslomässiga upplevelser vid palliativ vård. Sammanfattning: Resultatet visade att patienter ville känna sig sedda och få en individanpassad vård där sjuksköterskan hade kunskap om hur de ska informera patienter. Det framkom att sjuksköterskor behövde ha mer kunskap om palliativ vård och att patienterna inte uppskattade när anhöriga vid vårdbesöket visade sorg. Resultatet påvisade även att det sociala livet för patienterna var viktigt för att känna sig värd. Att känna oro och rädsla var återkommande känslor och negativa tankar om framtiden, familjen och ekonomin förekom. / Background: In palliative care, the disease is no longer cured, but the focus is on alleviating the patient's symptoms. Patients with palliative care occur in various care units and thus it is necessary that the nurse is competent in the field and works professionally ethically. Aim: The aim was to describe patients' experiences of palliative care. Method: A literature review was chosen as the method, which includes ten qualitative and quantitative studies. PubMed and Cinahl Complete were the two databases used and the articles were analyzed according to Friberg´s analysis step. Results: Four themes were identified in the results. Patients' experiences of nursing staff in palliative care, Patients' experiences of family in palliative care, The importance of social life in palliative care and Emotional experiences in palliative care. Summary: The results showed that patients wanted to feel seen and receive individualized care where the nurse had knowledge of how to inform patients. It emerged that nurses needed to have more knowledge of how to inform patients. It emerged that nurses needed to have more knowledge about palliative care and that patients did not appreciate when relatives showed sadness during the care visit. The results also showed that the social life of the patients was important to feeling valued. Feeling anxiety and fear were recurring feelings and negative thoughts about the future, the family and the economy were present.
