Previous issue date: 2018-03-23 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / In this research, we intend to analyze comparatively educational proposals regarding Ethnic-Racial relations in the teaching of Afro-Brazilian and African History and culture offered by the state and municipal public education in the city of São Paulo. Racism, historically present and widespread in the various layers of Brazilian society, is nowadays a major problem to be overcome. In fact, racist practices that have historically been present in the daily social relations of the country is also part of the school context. Accordingly, the school environment, which is thought by all as beneficial, where part of the students' identity is build, can also depreciate and stigmatize them. Therefore, this research contributes to identifying and searching for alternatives in order to solve the problem of growing racism in educational institutions, which stems from the lack of the making of a quality education that values the historical diversity of the black population / Nessa pesquisa, objetivamos analisar comparativamente propostas de educação, quanto às relações Étnico-Raciais, no ensino da História e cultura Afro-brasileira e Africana oferecido pela rede estadual e municipal de ensino da cidade de São Paulo. O racismo, historicamente presente e difundido nas diversas camadas da sociedade brasileira, apresenta-se, nos dias atuais, como um grande problema a ser superado. Práticas racistas que historicamente estiveram presentes nas relações sociais cotidianas do país, de fato não deixam de fora o ambiente escolar. Dessa forma, o espaço escolar, que é pensado por todos como um espaço benéfico, onde ocorre a construção de parte da identidade do aluno, também pode vir a depreciá-lo e estigmatizá-lo. Portanto, essa pesquisa contribui para identificar e buscar alternativas a fim de solucionar o problema do racismo crescente nas instituições de ensino, o qual decorre da falta da construção de uma educação de qualidade que valorize a diversidade histórica da população negra
