Previous issue date: 2010 / Resumo: O presente estudo, de cunho sócio-educacional, teve como objetivo verificar quais são os métodos de avaliação empregados em Educação Física, no Ensino Fundamental. Procuramos identificar a relação existente entre a teoria e a prática que envolve o processo de ensino e aprendizagem sobre avaliação propiciada pelos professores aos alunos e também verificar como os professores de Educação Física do Ensino Fundamental definem o que é avaliação, quais os métodos que utilizam para avaliar seus alunos, com que freqüência eles são avaliados, dentre outros assuntos que se encontram voltados para a temática. O referencial teórico da educação esta embasado em especialistas que procuram discutir a avaliação em uma perspectiva crítica e sociológica, de tal forma que possibilite realizar uma ponte entre autores que trabalham a mesma temática em Educação Física. Apresentamos uma discussão envolvendo as duas primeiras Leis de Diretrizes e Bases - LDBs, de n°s: 4.024/61 e 5.692/71, que já foram revogadas e que definiram as diretrizes da educação no Brasil e também a atual LDB de n° 9.394/96, além das resoluções do Conselho Federal de Educação Física - CFEF, do Conselho Regional de Educação Física -CREF e os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais - PCNs referentes à Educação Física. Os sujeitos envolvidos nesta pesquisa foram 14 professores de Educação Física, que lecionam no Ensino Fundamental, da 5a à 8a séries, na rede publica estadual da cidade de Campinas. O trabalho foi delimitado em 10 (dez) escolas, sendo 05 (cinco) da Diretoria de Ensino Leste e 05 (cinco) da Oeste, distribuídas de maneira que contemplassem as regiões leste e oeste, norte e sul da cidade. Os instrumentos de coleta de dados foram entrevistas, protocolo com questões abertas e fechadas, respondidos pelos professores e os planejamentos elaborados por eles. Os resultados da investigação possibilitaram traçar um perfil dos métodos de avaliação utilizados pelos professores em Educação Física. As análises dos dados proporcionaram verificar qual é o entendimento que eles têm sobre a avaliação, tanto na parte teórica quanto prática, além de fornecer condições para discutir as múltiplas funções que a avaliação pode assumir, principalmente como mecanismo de controle e exclusão, abrindo possibilidades para reflexão sobre a prática da avaliação, proporcionando importantes elementos para eventuais inferências nas práticas de avaliação, principalmente em Educação Física / Abstract: The present study, of partner-educational stamp, had as objective verifies which are the employed evaluation methods in Physical Education, in Fundamental Teaching. He tried to identify the existent relationship between the theory and the practice that involving the teaching process and learning about evaluation propitiated by the teachers to the students. We tried to verify as the teachers of Physical Education of Fundamental Teaching they define what is evaluation, which the methods that use to evaluate your students, with that frequency they are appraised among other subjects that one find gone back to the thematic. The education theoretical referencial this based in specialists that try to discuss evaluation in a critical and sociological perspective, in order to accomplish a bridge among authors that work the same thematic in physical education. We presented a discussion involving the first two Guidelines and Bases Laws - GBLs, that were already revoked and that defined the guidelines of the education in Brazil n°s: 4.024/61 and 5.692/71, and also current GBLs no. 9.394/96, besides the resolutions of the Federal Council of Physical Education - FCFE, Regional Council of Physical Education - RCEF and the National Curricular Parameters - NCPs, referring to Physical Education. The subjects involved in this research were 14 physical Education Teachers, that teach in the Fundamental Teaching, of 5th to 8th series, in the net it publishes state of the Campinas city. The work was delimited in 10 (ten) schools, that were chosen in an aleatory way, being 05 (five) of East's Management Education and 05 (five) of the West, distributed so that they contemplated the areas east and west, north and south of the city. The instruments of collection of data were glimpsed, a protocol with open and closed subjects, answered by the teachers and the plannings elaborated by them. The results of the investigation made possible to trace a profile of the evaluation methods used by the teachers in Physical Education and the analysis of the data they provided to verify which is the understanding that they have so much about the evaluation in the theoretical part as practice, besides supplying conditions the multiple functions that the evaluation can assume mainly as control mechanism and exclusion to discuss, opening possibilities for reflection on the practice of the evaluation, providing important elements for eventual inferences in the evaluation practices, mainly in Physical Education / Doutorado / Ciencias do Esporte / Doutor em Educação Física
