Previous issue date: 2014-02-28 / The content of this paper deals with fundamental issues of epistemology of memory, in particular the notions of belief, justification and memoriais knowledge, as well as conceptually analyzes the main traditional theories and current research in this area of contemporary epistemology, namely preservationism and epistemological theory of memory (TEM), and alleged that they suffer criticism from his opponents. The preservationism basically is the view that justified true memorial belief precisely the canonical definition of knowledge implied by propositional memory, remains in the time since its acquisition in the past, tl, for any S a knowing subject, yet this, in t2, when the evocation of such knowledge by S. This view, which is structurally endorsed by TEM, whose conceptual bases bind as necessary and sufficient conditions to be propositional memory that S knows that P tl, S knows that P in t2, and that this knowledge between tl and t2 is properly connected, receives criticism from certain authors, particularly Sven Bernecker and Jennifer Lackey, for which the faculty of memory, respectively, not bind neither justification nor knowledge, but mere mental representation, and this college not only preserve such epistemic properties but yes to generate over time, constituting the retention of such properties have insufficient condition for propositional knowledge, although necessary. Such criticisms are presented by these authors through counterexamples that have established a thriving and dynamic current epistemological debate in the community, in which the main goal is the analysis and discussion of them with the reference of these theories, given that the conceptual scope of these theories is that this perspective would be in check, and a verdict about the plausibility of these counterexamples is arguably seek to establish throughout this work, and this is precisely the crucial and essential point that characterizes the present research / O conte?do do presente trabalho trata de t?picos fundamentais de epistemologia da mem?ria, em particular das no??es de cren?a, justifica??o e conhecimento memoriais, bem como analisa conceitualmente as principais teorias tradicionais e correntes desta ?rea de pesquisa da epistemologia contempor?nea, a saber, o preservacionismo e a teoria epistemol?gica da mem?ria (TEM), e as supostas cr?ticas que as mesmas sofrem de seus opositores. O preservacionismo, basicamente, ? a vis?o de que cren?a memorial verdadeira justificada, precisamente a defini??o can?nica do conhecimento implicado pela mem?ria proposicional, se mant?m no tempo desde a sua aquisi??o no passado, em tl, por um sujeito cognoscente S qualquer, at? o momento presente, em t2, quando da evoca??o de tal conhecimento por S. Esta vis?o, que ? endossada estruturalmente pela TEM, cujas bases conceituais vinculam como condi??es necess?rias e suficientes para haver lembran?a proposicional que S saiba que P em tl, S sabe que P em t2, e que esse conhecimento entre tl e t2 esteja adequadamente conectado, recebe cr?ticas de determinados autores, particularmente Sven Bernecker e Jennifer Lackey, para os quais a faculdade da mem?ria, respectivamente, n?o vincularia nem justifica??o e nem conhecimento, e sim mera representa??o mental, e esta faculdade n?o apenas preservaria tais propriedades epist?micas, mas sim as geraria com o passar do tempo, constituindo-se a reten??o de tais propriedades condi??o insuficiente para haver conhecimento proposicional, embora necess?ria. Tais cr?ticas s?o apresentadas por estes autores atrav?s de contra-exemplos que instauraram um efervescente e din?mico debate na comunidade epistemol?gica atual, em que o objetivo principal ser? o da an?lise e da discuss?o dos mesmos juntamente com o referencial das teorias referidas, haja vista que o escopo conceitua) destas teorias ? que estaria em xeque nesta perspectiva, e um veredito acerca da plausibilidade ou n?o destes contra?exemplos se procurar? estabelecer argumentativamente ao longo desse trabalho, sendo este precisamente o ponto crucial e essencial que caracteriza a presente pesquisa.
