Bakgrund: Målet inom palliativ vård är att lindra lidande, främja livskvaliteten samt att beakta individens fysiska, psykiska, sociala och existentiella behov vid obotligt sjukdomstillstånd. Allt fler patienter vill vårdas i hemmet, vilket möjliggör att patienten bibehåller känslan av trygghet. Att vårda patienter i livets slutskede är en svår men viktig uppgift för sjuksköterskan. Författarna vill därför skapa en djupare förståelse av faktorer som utgör en betydelsefull del i sjuksköterskans arbete i palliativ vård i hemmet. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva sjuksköterskans upplevelse av palliativ vård i patientens hem. Metod: Metoden är en litteraturöversikt som grundades på tio vårdvetenskapliga artiklar med kvalitativ design. Databaserna som användes var CINAHL Complete, Medline och Pubmed. Analysen gjordes enligt Fribergs analysmodell. Ur analysen framträdde tre huvudteman och två underteman. Resultat: Resultatet presenteras i tre huvudteman: vårdrelationens betydelse, utmaningar i vårdandet och samarbetet mellan olika vårdprofessioner. Vidare presenteras två underteman: svårigheter att etablera en god vårdrelation och områden som påverkar samarbetet. Diskussion: I metoddiskussionen diskuterade författarna litteraturöversiktens styrkor och svagheter. I resultatdiskussionen presenteras tre teman: medveten närvaro, känslomässiga upplevelser och bristande samarbete och stöd. Författarna diskuterade dessa teman utifrån egna reflektioner, tidigare forskning, litteraturöversiktens bakgrund och Watsons omvårdnadsteori. / Background: The goal of palliative care is to alleviate suffering, promote quality of life and to take into account the individual’s physical, mental, social and existential needs in event of incurable illness. An increasing number of patients want to be cared for in their home, which allows them to maintain the feeling of security. Caring for patients at the end of life is a difficult, but important task for a nurse. The authors therefore want to create a deeper understanding of the factors that play an important part in the nurse’s work in palliative care in the home. Aim: The aim of this study was to describe the nurse’s experience of palliative care in the patient’s home. Method: The method is a literature review based on ten health science articles with a qualitative design. Databases used were CINAHL Complete, Medline and Pubmed. The analysis was done according to Friberg’s analytical model. Three main themes and two sub-themes emerged from the analysis. Results: The results are presented in three main themes: the importance of the nursing relationship, challenges in nursing care and the collaboration between different healthcare professions. Furthermore, two sub-themes are presented: difficulties in establishing a good care relationship and areas that affect collaboration. Discussion: In the method discussion, the authors discussed the strengths and weaknesses of the literature review. In the results discussion, three themes are presented: conscious presence, emotional experiences and lack of cooperation and support. The authors discuss these themes based on their own reflections, previous research, the background of the literature review and Watson’s nursing theory.
