Para tal, buscou-se apresentar uma análise dos diversos momentos e fatores atuantes nesta relação, principalmente no que se refere à inserção dos evangélicos na política.
O comportamento eleitoral dos fiéis/eleitores; o desenvolvimento e organização das igrejas evangélicas ao longo da história; as modificações sociais e políticas, além das características estruturais da sociedade brasileira; o comportamento político dos representantes evangélicos, entre outros, atuam diretamente neste processo que desperta, inevitavelmente, uma discussão mais profunda sobre a própria noção de secularização e sobre a atual configuração política nacional.
A política brasileira apresenta, atualmente, a opção religiosa como variável cada vez mais importante tanto nos pleitos eleitorais, quanto na atuação legislativa propriamente dita. O que está sendo, aqui, proposto é uma análise desta relação entre religião e política de modo a contribuir para com a reflexão sociológica sobre a atual conjuntura social e política brasileira.
This work has for objective builds a map of the process that involves the relationship between religion and politics in Brazil in the last decades. For such, it presents an analysis of the various moments and factors that take action in this relationship, mainly what refers to the insertion of the evangelical groups in politics.
The electoral behaviour of the faithful/voter; the development and organization of the evangelicals churches throughout history; the social and political modifications, beyond the structural characteristic of the Brazilian society; the political behaviour of the evangelical representatives, among others, act directly in this process that awakes, inevitably, a profounder discussion on the proper notion of secularization and on the present national political configuration.
The Brazilian politics presents, currently, the religious option as variable each more important, as many in the election campaigns as in the legislative performance properly said. What is being proposed here is an analysis of the relationship between religion and politics in order to contribute to the sociological reflection on the present social and political Brazilian conjuncture.
