Previous issue date: 2018-03-26 / Conselho Nacional de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento Cient?fico e Tecnol?gico - CNPq / Psycholinguistics has devoted itself to studying the connections between language and mind, so that its space between studies on language is allocated to cognition, specifically as it relates to the processing of reading comprehension and textual consciousness. The reading difficulties of Elementary and High School students have been a constant concern for all educational professionals who are in charge of finding teaching methods that allow to solve this problem in the diverse textual genres. In view of these considerations, this thesis chooses the literary text, specifically the short story, as the central working text, since this genre is frequent and relevant in the school environment. In this section, Literature is defined as the interface of Psycholinguistics. In order to construct a linguistic-literary paradigm favorable to the progress of the studies on the reading comprehension, its processing and the textual conscience in the reading of the story, instruments were developed that were applied in three distinct groups of readers. The obtained data were analyzed and discussed. As a result, it was verified in the participants' performance that the superstructure is the macroposition of the short-story in which there were the smallest hit scores, and in grammatical cohesion the best hit scores. The performances were still better at understanding than at knowledge. In processing, there was a tendency to personal opinion. It can be seen from the results that, in the textual awareness of the story, a search for the full development of his knowledge is necessary. Based on data and discussions, the research aims to contribute to the teaching of reading, so that it is possible to be guided by the presence of literary textual genres, in order to qualify the teaching and learning process as a whole. / A Psicolingu?stica tem se dedicado a estudar as conex?es entre a linguagem e a mente, de modo que seu espa?o entre os estudos sobre a linguagem est? alocado na cogni??o, no que se refere espec?ficamente ao processamento da compreens?o leitora e ? consci?ncia textual. As dificuldades de leitura de alunos de Ensino Fundamental e de Ensino M?dio t?m sido uma constante preocupa??o para todos os profissionais da educa??o que se ocupam de encontrar m?todos de ensino que permitam solucionar esse problema nos diversos g?neros textuais. Tendo em vista essas considera??es, esta tese elege o texto liter?rio, especificamente o conto, como o texto central de trabalho, pois esse g?nero ? frequente e relevante no ambiente escolar. Nesse recorte, define-se a Literatura como interface da Psicolingu?stica. Com o objetivo de construir um paradigma lingu?stico-liter?rio favor?vel ao avan?o dos estudos sobre a compreens?o leitora, seu processamento e a consci?ncia textual na leitura do conto, desenvolveram-se instrumentos que foram aplicados em tr?s grupos distintos de leitores. Os dados obtidos foram analisados e discutidos. Como resultados, verificou-se no desempenho dos participantes que a superestrutura ? a macroposi??o do conto na qual houve os menores escores de acertos, e na coes?o gramatical os melhores escores de acerto. Os desempenhos ainda foram melhores na compreens?o do que no conhecimento. No processamento, houve uma tend?ncia ? opini?o pessoal. Pode-se verificar no arrolar dos resultados que, na consci?ncia textual do conto, ? preciso uma busca pela desenvolvimento pleno de seu conhecimento. A partir dos dados e das discuss?es apresentadas, a pesquisa visa a contribuir com o ensino de leitura, de modo que seja poss?vel ser pautado pela presen?a dos g?neros textuais liter?rios, a fim de que se possa qualificar o processo de ensino e aprendizagem como um todo.
