Previous issue date: 2008-10-17 / The objective is the analysis of trade union freedom from the parameters defined by International Declarations of Human Rights, seeking to attribute it the status of fundamental right. Duly bounded, trade union freedom will be faced with the kinds of contributions in the existing trade union law homeland. The result of the work is the proof that the whole mode of contribution imposed on workers and employers to certain non-affiliated trade union entails a violation of the fundamental right trade union freedom. As an alternative, it is the analysis of the contribution of solidarity, whose adoption, although marked by reservations, trade union freedom can reconcile the interests of trade unions / Objetiva-se a análise da liberdade sindical a partir dos parâmetros delimitados por Declarações Internacionais de Direitos Humanos, buscando atribuí-la o status de direito fundamental. Devidamente delimitada, a liberdade sindical será confrontada com as espécies de contribuições sindicais existentes no ordenamento jurídico pátrio. O resultado do trabalho é a comprovação de que toda a modalidade de contribuição imposta a trabalhadores e empregadores não-filiados a determinado sindicato implica em violação ao direito fundamental liberdade sindical. Como medida alternativa, procede-se a análise da contribuição de solidariedade, cuja adoção, ainda que marcada por ressalvas, poderá conciliar a liberdade sindical aos interesses dos sindicatos
