Previous issue date: 2011-07-08 / Maria Judite de Carvalho began his literature in 1949 in journals of Lusitanian capital. Until his death, which occurred in 1998, published more a thousand texts, most of them have never been extracted from their support original, the newspaper, making them unknown to the public today. In order to rescue of this precious material chosen as the literary corpus of Search the chronicles published in the Di?rio de Lisboa, periodic where the writer published the largest number of texts in the section Rect?ngulos da Vida, 395 (three hundred and ninety-five) chronic for five consecutive years (1968-1972). Looking at these texts I realized that she inserted into her narrative the changes occurred in the twentieth century, in Portugal, capturing the moment of breaking with traditional models and introducing new paradigms imposed by modernity. What happens in this period is an extremely fast and deep change of values and customs with which the Portuguese society faces and experiences with a certain uneasiness. Given this unstable scenario, Maria Judite expresses, through her ironic and critical narrative, the portrait of the Portuguese people and their behavior full of anguish and sorrows that are revealed through the gloom. After a thorough reading of his texts I found that this was the guiding element of juditiana writing. It is presented in the chronicles in many respects they were privileged during the five years of publications they are loneliness, abandonment, death, isolation of individuals who feel increasingly powerless in the face of changes experienced as a consequence of this state and present is melancholy all the time. This is a photograph of Maria Judite de Carvalho on Portuguese society told in her chronicles as I saw this survey. / Maria Judite de Carvalho iniciou sua produ??o liter?ria em 1949 nos peri?dicos da capital lusitana e at? o seu falecimento, que se deu em 1998, publicou mais de mil textos que, em sua maioria, nunca foram extra?dos de seu suporte original, o jornal, tornando-os desconhecidos do p?blico atual. Com intuito de resgatar parte desse precioso material liter?rio escolhi como corpus dessa pesquisa as cr?nicas publicadas no Di?rio de Lisboa, peri?dico onde a escritora exibiu o maior n?mero de textos, na se??o Rect?ngulos da Vida que contou com 395 (trezentos e noventa e cinco) cr?nicas durante cinco anos consecutivos (1968-1972). Analisando esses textos percebi que a escritora inseria em sua narrativa as transforma??es ocorridas no s?culo XX, em Portugal, capturando o momento de rupturas com alguns modelos tradicionais e introduzindo novos paradigmas impostos pela modernidade. O que ocorre, nesse per?odo, ? uma altera??o extremamente r?pida e profunda de valores e costumes com os quais a sociedade portuguesa se depara e vivencia com certa intranquilidade. Diante desse cen?rio inst?vel, Maria Judite expressa, atrav?s de sua narrativa cr?tica e ir?nica, o retrato do povo portugu?s e de seu comportamento repleto de ang?stias e tristezas que se revelam atrav?s da melancolia. Ap?s uma leitura exaustiva de seus textos verifiquei que este era o elemento norteador da escrita juditiana. Ela ? apresentada nas cr?nicas sob diversos aspectos que foram privilegiados durante os cinco anos de publica??es sendo eles a solid?o, o abandono, a morte, o isolamento dos indiv?duos que se sentiam cada vez mais impotentes diante das transforma??es vivenciadas e como consequ?ncia desse estado apresentam-se melanc?licos o tempo todo.
