2012_LoidedaSilvaChaves.pdf: 996826 bytes, checksum: e6f30153bff7f63710606207b4467e52 (MD5) / Esta dissertação propõe-se a analisar a narrativa ―Um Ponto no Círculo‖, do escritor Osman Lins, dada a sua pertinência para a compreensão de alguns elementos e temas da poética do autor, os quais, após marcarem presença em Nove, Novena (1966), espraiam-se para as obras seguintes, como é o caso de Avalovara (1973). Investigando o tema da criação artística, dentro da qual o ato de escrever emerge com todo o vigor, esta pesquisa visa sondar tanto o aspecto estrutural do conto, que exibe um molde rigorosamente geométrico e planejado, quanto a dimensão que remete ao discurso sobre a arte, representado pelas várias menções dentro do texto à atividade do artista, bem assim pelo tratamento ritual e poético da palavra
em sua materialidade e musicalidade, num questionamento permanente sobre o ato de criar e seu reflexo na arena da vida. Nessa configuração, tanto na estrutura quanto na linguagem tem-se um exercício de busca, de questionamento permanente que é não somente o do artista, mas também o do homem ante o mundo: ao se perseguir o rigor da arte, os movimentos precisos, o equilíbrio entre o informe e o ordenado, também se procura a resolução dos conflitos
humanos, da transitoriedade da vida, se busca a inscrição numa ordem, que é a do cosmos e a da relação com o outro – as pessoas e o mundo que nos cercam. _______________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This dissertation aims at examining the narrative "Um Ponto no Círculo" by Osman Lins, given the relevance that the text has to the understanding of some aspects and themes of his poetic, which are present both in Nove, Novena (1966) and in posterior works, like Avalovara (1973). Investigating the theme of artistic creation, within which the act of writing emerges with vigor, this research intends to probe both the structural aspect of the tale, which displays a rigorously geometric and planned mold, and the dimension that refers to the discourse about art, represented by the various terms within the text related to the activity of the artist, as well as by the poetic treatment of the word in its materiality and musicality, in a permanent
questioning of the act of creation and its reflection in the arena of life. In this configuration, both in structure and in language there is search and permanent questioning which is not only the artist‘s but also of man before the world: while one pursues the rigor of the art, the precise
movements, the balance between the reported and the ordered, one also seeks the resolution of human conflicts, of the transience of life, as well as seeks insertion in an order, that is the one
of the cosmos and of the relationship with others - people and the world around us.
