Previous issue date: 2017-07-04 / Na presente pesquisa, analisamos o emprego das formas dativas em contexto de segunda pessoa (singular e plural) em cartas privadas do Portugu?s Brasileiro (doravante PB), de tr?s diferentes Estados do Nordeste, a saber, Rio Grande do Norte (RN), Pernambuco (PE) e Bahia (BA), correspond?ncias redigidas no s?culo XX. Constituem o nosso corpus exemplares compartilhados no site do corpus m?nimo comum impresso do Projeto para a Hist?ria do Portugu?s Brasileiro (PHPB). Subsidiaram nosso trabalho duas perspectivas te?rico- metodol?gicas: a Teoria da Varia??o e Mudan?a (TVM) (cf. WEINREICH; LABOV; HERZOG, 2012 [1968], doravante WLH; LABOV, 2008 [1972]) e a Teoria dos Princ?pios e Par?metros (P&P), da Teoria Gerativa, (cf. CHOMSKY, 1995). Dessa forma, conduzimos uma an?lise qualitativa e quantitativa, buscando mapear e explicar a seguinte vari?vel lingu?stica: as formas dativas de segunda pessoa do singular e do plural (P2 e P5) em portugu?s brasileiro. Assim como, suas variantes lingu?sticas concorrentes: diferentes possibilidades de realiza??o que concorrem para P2 e para P5, a exemplo dos pronominais te/ti, vos/v?s, lhe, da elipse (?), al?m dos pronomes voc?, voc?s e tu precedidos das preposi??es a/para/pr?/de/em. Dentre os demais objetivos que guiam nossa pesquisa, destacamos o seguinte: pesquisar se a rela??o gramatical de OI (complemento indireto (CI) ? ?verdadeiro objeto indireto?) ou de complemento obl?quo (CO) restringe ou favorece, respectivamente, a implementa??o das variantes lingu?sticas concorrentes dos pronomes dativos. Tomamos como hip?tese que as formas variantes concorrentes n?o sofreriam influ?ncia da rela??o gramatical de OI ou de OBL. No entanto, essas rela??es gramaticais mostraram-se como um dos mais importantes condicionadores da varia??o entre as formas competidoras. Ap?s identificarmos e caracterizarmos os 610 dados presentes nas cartas, submetemo-os a rodadas no progama GoldVarb, elecando 10 (dez) vari?veis independentes, sociais e lingu?sticas, o que nos remeteu a algumas regras vari?veis. A an?lise dos dados, de forma geral, aponta para uma mudan?a em curso em favor das formas concorrentes do paradigma de voc?-tu preposicionados, passando antes pelas concorrentes lhe e a elipse (?), ficando as variantes da norma padr?o te/ti e vos/v?s restritas a contextos espec?ficos, como comunica??es envolvendo mais afetividade, mais informalidade. / In the present research, we analyze the use of dative forms in a second person context (singular and plural) in private letters of Brazilian Portuguese (hereinafter PB), from three different Northeastern states, namely Rio Grande do Norte (RN), Pernambuco (PE) and Bahia (BA); correspondences written in the 20th century. Our corpus consists of copies shared in the site of the common minimum printed corpus of the Project for the History of Brazilian Portuguese (PHPB). Two theoretical and methodological perspectives supported our work: The Theory of Variation and Change (TVM) (see WEINREICH, LABOV, HERZOG, 2012 [1968], hereinafter WLH, LABOV, 2008 [1972]) and the Theory of Principles and Parameters (P&P), Chomsky, 1995). This way, we conduct a qualitative and quantitative analysis, willing to map and explain the following linguistic variable: the second person singular and plural dative forms (P2 and P5) in Brazilian Portuguese. As well as its competing linguistic variants: different possibilities of realization that compete for P2 and P5, like the pronominal te / ti, vos
/ v?s, of the ellipse (?), in addition to the pronouns voc?, voc?s and tu preceded by the prepositions a / para / pr? / de / em. Among the other objectives that guide our research, we highlight the following: to investigate whether the grammatical relation of OI (indirect complement (CI) - "true indirect object") or oblique complement (CO) restricts or favors, respectively, the implementation of competing linguistic variants of the dative pronouns. We hypothesized that the competing variant forms would not be influenced by the grammatical relationship of OI or OBL (CO). However, these grammatical relationships proved to be one of the most important conditioners of the variation amongst the competing forms. After identifying and characterizing the 610 data present within the letters, we submitted them to rounds in the GoldVarb program, electing 10 (ten) independent variables; social and linguistic ones, which referred us to some variable rules. In general, data analysis points to a change in progress in favor of the competing forms of the prepositioned voc?-tu paradigm, passing first by competitors lhe and the ellipse (?), leaving the standard variants of the standard Te / Ti restricted to specific contexts, such as communications involving more affectivity, more informality.
