This research aimed to understand how the methodologies and strategies of Portuguese language teaching, through the textual genres, are developed for the deaf in inclusive classrooms in the 1st grade of High School, in a state school in Aracaju-Sergipe. It is justified by the teachers' complaint about the challenge to find a methodology of Portuguese language teaching for the deaf, due to their difficulty with reading, interpretation and writing, factors that require courses that train teachers capable of dealing with the school reality According to the diversity of students. It is based on studies by Alvez et al (2010) on social inclusion; In the concepts of methodologies and strategies developed by Brown (1994); In the concept of textual genres of Marcuschi (2010) and Porto (2009); And Salles (2004) on the teaching of Portuguese Language for the deaf. In the methodology of the research, this is a case study developed through an interview with two teachers of Portuguese Language and an interpreter of Libras. In this way, the research sought to reflect on a teaching methodology that is in line with the needs of deaf students, and the following results were found: Teachers use methodologies and strategies through textual genres in Portuguese language teaching, which are only intended for listeners. However, the reflection presented in the teachers' speech shows the concern with a shared methodology, that is, for both the deaf and the hearing, as well as showing that both teachers and interpreters need continued qualification and education in the area of deaf education, As well as to acquire the habit of reflection on how to improve teaching-learning according to the students' performance. / Esta pesquisa teve por objetivo compreender como se desenvolvem as metodologias e estratégias do ensino de Língua Portuguesa, através dos gêneros textuais, para surdos em salas inclusivas na 1ª série do Ensino Médio, numa escola estadual em Aracaju-Sergipe. Justifica-se, diante da queixa dos professores sobre o desafio para encontrar uma metodologia de ensino de língua portuguesa para surdos, devido à dificuldade destes com a leitura, interpretação e escrita, fatores que exigem cursos que formem docentes capazes de lidar com a realidade escolar de acordo com a diversidade de alunos. Fundamenta-se nos estudos de Alvez et al (2010) sobre inclusão social; nos conceitos de metodologias e estratégias desenvolvidos por Brown (1994); no conceito de gêneros textuais de Marcuschi (2010) e Porto (2009); e Salles (2004) sobre o ensino de Língua Portuguesa para surdos. Na metodologia da pesquisa, trata-se de um estudo de caso desenvolvido através de entrevista com dois professores de Língua Portuguesa e um intérprete de Libras. Desta forma, a pesquisa procurou refletir sobre uma metodologia de ensino condizente com as necessidades dos alunos surdos, e foram encontrados os seguintes resultados: Os professores utilizam metodologias e estratégias através dos gêneros textuais no ensino de Língua Portuguesa ainda pensadas apenas para ouvintes. Todavia, a reflexão apresentada na fala dos docentes mostra a preocupação com uma metodologia compartilhada, ou seja, tanto para surdos quanto para ouvintes, além de mostrar que tanto os professores quanto os intérpretes precisam de qualificação e formação continuada na área da educação de surdos, assim como adquirir o hábito de reflexão sobre como melhorar o ensino-aprendizagem de acordo com o rendimento dos alunos.
