Previous issue date: 2017-03-24 / CAPES / Esta pesquisa centra-se na análise do percurso histórico do Editorial no jornal O Mossoroense. O objetivo desta pesquisa é descrever quais são as Tradições Discursivas do gênero Editorial no jornal O Mossoroense, como essas características se associam aos elementos extralinguísticos do texto,e que mudanças ocorreram no modelo textual escolhido. As nossas hipóteses são de que os editoriais sofreram mudanças consideráveis nas três dimensões: a pragmática, a linguístico-discursiva e a estrutural. Escolhemos os textos veiculados no jornal em diferentes épocas da história do periódico. A primeira época estudada consta dos anos 1872 a 1875, fase inicial do periódico que coincide com a inauguração da imprensa no Brasil. A segunda fase, entre os anos 1927 a 1934, é uma época em que o jornal, já mais sedimentado, apresenta editoriais mais definidos quanto à estrutura e quanto a outros elementos textuais. A última época analisada, corresponde ao intervalo dos anos 1980 até o início do século XXI, revela textos mais padronizados. A fundamentação teórica está embasada na metodologia de pesquisa das Tradições Discursivas decorrentes das teorias coserianas de texto e de mudanças de texto (COSERIU, 1979; 1980), (SCHLIEBENLANGUE, 1983), (OESTERREICHER, 1994, 1996, 1997, 2006), (KABATEK, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008), além de estudos de gêneros de (BAZERMAN, 2011ª, 2011b, 2007), (MILLER, 2012, 2009), (BAKHTIN, 1979) e (MARCUSCHI, 2008, 2005), e estudos aplicados ao português (PESSOA, 2002), (FONSECA, 2003), (SIMÕES, 2007), (GOMES, 2007), (ZAVAM, 2009). O resultado das análises mostrou que há muitas mudanças quanto ao estilo do texto, à extensão, ao conteúdo proposicional, às estratégias argumentativas - citação, pergunta retórica e marcas de oralidade. Mantendo, no entanto, características prototípicas relativas à temática dos editoriais, à abertura e fechamento dos textos, à função e ao propósito comunicativo. / This research focuses on the historical analysis of the Editorial in the Newspaper O Mossoroense. This research intends to describe the kinds of Discursive Traditions of the Editorial genre in O Mossoroense, how these characteristics are associated with the text extralinguistic elements and the changes occurred in the chosen textual model. Our hypotheses are that editorials have undergone considerable changes in the three dimensions; the Pragmatic, the Linguistic-discursive and the Structural. We chose the texts published in that newspaper at different times of its history. The first period studied from the years 1872 to 1875 is the initial phase of the periodical, which coincides with the inauguration of the press in Brazil; the second phase was between 1927 and 1934, phase in which that newspaper is more sedimented and it presents more definited editorials on its structure and on other textual elements; and the last analyzed period corresponds to the interval from the 1980s to the beginning of the XXI century. The theoretical ground is based on the research methodology of Discursive Traditions derived from the Coserian theories of text and text changes (COSERIU, 1979; 1980), (SCHLIEBEN-LANGUE, 1983), (OESTERREICHER, 1994, 1996, 1997, 2006), (KABATEK, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008), além de estudos de gêneros de (BAZERMAN, 2011ª, 2011b, 2007), (MILLER, 2012, 2009), (BAKHTIN, 1979) e (MARCUSCHI, 2008, 2005) and studies applied to portuguese(PESSOA, 2002), (FONSECA, 2003), (SIMÕES, 2007), (GOMES, 2007), (ZAVAM, 2009). The result of the analyzes showed that there are many changes in the style of the text, the extension, the propositional content, the argumentative strategies - quotation, rhetorical question and marks of orality. However, it maintains prototypical characteristics related to the topic of editorials, the opening and closing of texts, function and communicative purpose.
