A presente pesquisa investiga o desenvolvimento do cantar segundo uma abordagem construtivista. Este trabalho foi desenvolvido na rede municipal de educação infantil de Campo Bom/RS, com a participação de uma representante por escola, totalizando 19 professoras. A fundamentação teórica estrutura-se sobre as áreas que mais permeiam os processos de ensino e de aprendizagem do canto, alinhavando idéias da fonoaudiologia, do canto, da técnica vocal, da lingüística e da teoria construtivista interacionista de Jean Piaget. A pesquisa é de cunho qualitativo através da investigação sobre uma proposta de ensino do canto baseada em um curso de 30 horas-aula e duas entrevistas individuais semi-estruturadas. Os resultados mostraram que, por meio de atividades de apreciação, execução, criação e reflexão desenvolvidas em grupo, em que o sujeito cantante é ativo, criativo e participativo, favorecemos a compreensão técnica, musical e expressiva do canto, o que desencadeia uma apropriação da voz por parte desse sujeito, com a conseqüente construção de novos possíveis que podem significar uma autonomia vocal, graças a uma generalização do conhecimento do canto nas ações do sujeito. / This study investigates the development of the act of singing under a constructivist point of view. It was carried out in schools from Campo Bom (RS, Brazil) and counted on the participation of 19 teachers, one at each school. The theoretical basis lies on areas that permeate singing teaching and learning processes, putting together areas such as Speech Therapy, Singing, Vocal Technique, Linguistics and the Interactionist Constructivist Theory by Jean Piaget. This is a qualitative study through investigation about teaching of singing based on a 30-hour course and two semistructured individual interviews. Results have shown that, through listening, performing, creating and reflecting in groups, in which the subject who sings is an active subject, creative and participant, we promote the technical, musical and expressive understanding of singing. This triggers the voice appropriation as part of the subject, with the resulting construction of new possibilities that foster vocal autonomy due to the singing knowledge generalization into the subject’s actions.
