Investigating the genes for bile acid metabolism in nocardioform bacteria

partial fulfilment of the requirements of the
Degree of Master of Science in the field ·of
Biotechnology.
February 1991. / Nocardioform bacteria were studied for their
ability to interconvert bile acids. From the
studies of utilisation and resistance curves,
the most suitable donor and recipient strains
for complementary gene cloning, were
Arthrobacter oxydans strain C1 and Rhodococcus
