Previous issue date: 2012-08-17 / Esta pesquisa procura refletir sobre a din?mica da recep??o televisiva, estudando a
micross?rie Hoje ? dia de Maria, produzida pela Rede Globo de Televis?o e tem por
objetivo geral, promover infer?ncias no processo de leitura da imagem, principalmente da
leitura est?tica no contexto escolar, visando ? forma??o de leitores visuais proficientes. A
pesquisa foi desenvolvida com alunos da 3? s?rie do ensino m?dio em uma escola p?blica
do Estado, situada geograficamente na cidade do Natal, RN. O enquadre te?rico parte dos
pressupostos do sociointeracionismo cognitivista para entender a linguagem, ancorada nas
ideias de Bakhtin (1992) e Vygotsky (1998) que nos possibilitaram entender a intera??o
social e a Teoria da Recep??o Est?tica e do Efeito Est?tico com Jauss (1979) e Iser (1999),
que proporcionaram a compreens?o sobre a experi?ncia est?tica, o efeito est?tico e a
produ??o de sentido. A abordagem metodol?gica assume um vi?s qualitativo de car?ter
interpretativista, dada pelos momentos de entrevistas, observa??o, question?rio e de
aplica??o de um conjunto de atividades investigativas, tais como exposi??o de temas
introdut?rios, veicula??o de imagens e processo de media??o. O trabalho ? o resultado de
uma investiga??o-a??o, em um processo de interven??o pedag?gica na escola. Atrav?s dos
resultados, verificou-se que os recursos lingu?sticos interacionais mobilizados pelos
interlocutores demonstrou a falta de repert?rio e conhecimento pr?vio sobre leitura de
imagem, o que os levou a fazer inicialmente uma leitura superficial. Ficou evidente que os
participantes da pesquisa desconheciam a proposta apresentada, mas, no decorrer dos
encontros, foi poss?vel perceber as suas transforma??es, pois os conceitos pr?-
estabelecidos foram, com o aux?lio da media??o, reflexionados de forma que, ao final, o
grupo se sentiu mais aut?nomo e seguro ao ler as imagens. A pesquisa ainda apontou
dados significativos para que a escola desenvolva novas metodologias de ensino da leitura
televisual. / This research seeks to reflect on the dynamics of television reception, studying the
Brazilian TV miniseries Hoje ? Dia de Maria, produced by Globo Television Network, and
aims to generally promote inferences in the process of image reading, mainly for aesthetic
reading in school context, aiming at the formation of visual proficient readers. The
research was conducted with students from the third grade of a state high school,
geographically located in the city of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. The theoretical
framework comes from the assumptions of cognitive social interactionism to understand
language, and it is also based on the ideas of Bakhtin (1992) and Vygotsky (1998), which
enabled us to understand the social interaction and the Theory of Aesthetics Reception and
Aesthetic Effect with Jauss (1979) and Iser (1999), which provided a better understanding
of aesthetic experience, aesthetic effects and production of meaning. The methodological
approach assumes a qualitative nature and an interpretive bias, accomplished through
interviews, observation, questionnaire and application of a set of investigative activities,
such as introductory exposition of themes, handing out of images and mediation process.
This research is the result of a research-action process in a pedagogical intervention in a
state school. The results indicate that the interactional linguistic resources used by the
speakers demonstrated lack of prior knowledge and repertoire regarding image reading,
which initially led them to do a cursory reading. It was evident that the respondents were
unaware of the initial proposal. However, throughout the meetings, it was possible to
realize their transformation, because the pre-established concepts were analyzed with the
help of mediation, so that the group felt more autonomous and safe to read images at the
end. The survey also showed significant data, so that the school could develop new
methods of teaching televisual reading.
