Previous issue date: 2009-07-31 / Esta dissertação teve como objetivo analisar as possíveis repercussões da disciplina de Mídias, Educação e Educação Física, do curso de pós-graduação stricto-sensu da Faculdade de Educação Física da Universidade de Brasília. A pesquisa assumiu um caráter qualitativo, tendo como base o Diário de Aula (ZABALZA, 2004) como o principal instrumento de coleta e análise dos dados. Por se tratar de uma pesquisa-participante, a observação e a gravação das aulas foram essenciais ao processo, pois nos permitiu captar todos os momentos de debates, o que possibilitou mais rigor e distanciamento, favorecendo a análise crítico-reflexiva. Durante a análise dos dados, observamos que houve, por parte dos alunos investigados, uma melhor percepção quanto à necessidade, possibilidade e finalidade do tema "mídias" ser instituído na formação acadêmica do profissional de Educação Física. Apesar das cobranças em relação à dicotomia teoria x prática em sala de aula, todos os estudantes concordaram que o tema proposto pela disciplina é relevante e precisa ser discutido na formação dos profissionais da área. Na tentativa de resolver o impasse teoria x prática, sugerimos a criação de um laboratório de mídias na Faculdade de Educação Física. Isso permitiu maior visibilidade aos recursos midiáticos, tanto para os universitários quanto para o corpo docente, ampliando as discussões sobre os meios de comunicação dentro da instituição. A população investigada trouxe contribuições relevantes e bastante significativas no que diz respeito à melhoria e visibilidade da disciplina na instituição à qual pertence. _______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This thesis aimed to examine the possible effects of the discipline of "Media Education and Physical Education" included in the post-graduate course stricto-sensu, Faculty of Physical Education, University of Brasilia. The research took a qualitative, character based on the "Daily Lesson" (Zabalza, 2004) as the main tool for collecting and analyzing data. As a research-participant, observation and recording of lessons were essential to the process because it allowed us to capture every moment of the debates, that allowed more accuracy and distance, encouraging critical reflective analysis. During data analysis we observed that there was investigated by the students a better understanding of the need, scope and purpose of the topic "Media" to be established in the professional academic training of Physical Education. Despite the charges in respect of the theory x practice in the classroom, all students agreed that the theme proposed in this discipline is important and needs to be discussed by all professionals in the area. In an attempt to resolve the impasse theoretical and practical suggest creating a media laboratory at the Faculty of Physical Education. I believe that this way the integration of media in higher education would be more attractive and visible to both the university and to the faculty that could use the resources of the laboratory in their research extending further the discussions on the means of communication within the institution. In conclusion, the population investigated in the significant contributions and provided very significant even with regard to improving the visibility and discipline in the institution to which they belong.
