Previous issue date: 2013-12-03 / The present study had as general objective to investigate possible contributions in the course of perfecting the distance: the Musical language in early childhood education "for teachers of early childhood education for (re) signification of the importance of music education. The continuing education occupies a prominent position, being increasingly associated with the qualitative process of training and pedagogical practices. One of the tools that contributes to the continued training of the teacher is the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs), through distance education (EAD) and extension courses, which allow the teacher lay in the musical area to acquire or improve theoretical and practical knowledge in music. Thus, the EAD approach and contributes to the access to individual training in their teaching practice. For both, the methodological procedures tuned to a qualitative approach, research-action, with a view to the researcher play the role of observer, part of knowledge and interpreting the phenomena, giving them a real meaning. As subjects of the research were selected six students entering the course of improvement in distance mode of West University Paulista-Unoeste. For collecting the data of this research were conducted four phases: theoretical framework; Profile and Questionnaire Questionnaire Prior Knowledge; Monitoring during the course (analysis of evaluations of modules) and, lastly, know Questionnaire, after completion of the course. The results showed that it is possible, through distance education, contribute to the knowledge, because the mode offers quality learning a large number of people, of different formations and belonging to different social classes, demographically distant from each other. / O presente estudo teve como objetivo geral investigar possíveis contribuições do curso de aperfeiçoamento a distância: "A Linguagem Musical na Educação Infantil aos professores da Educação Infantil para (re) significação da importância da educação musical. A formação continuada ocupa lugar de destaque, estando de forma crescente associada ao processo qualitativo de práticas formativas e pedagógicas. Uma das ferramentas que contribui para a formação continuada do professor é o uso das Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (TIC), por meio da Educação a Distância (EAD) e cursos de extensão, que permitem ao professor leigo na área musical adquirir ou aperfeiçoar conhecimentos teóricos e práticos em música. Sendo assim, a EAD aproxima e contribui para o acesso a tal formação do indivíduo em sua prática docente. Para tanto, os procedimentos metodológicos obedeceram a uma abordagem qualitativa, do tipo pesquisa-ação, com o fito de o pesquisador desempenhar o papel de observador, fazendo parte do conhecimento e interpretando os fenômenos, dando-lhes um significado real. Como sujeitos da pesquisa foram selecionados seis alunos ingressantes do curso de aperfeiçoamento na modalidade a distância da Universidade do Oeste Paulista - Unoeste. Para recolha dos dados desta pesquisa foram realizadas quatro fases: Referencial Teórico; Questionário Perfil e Questionário Saber Prévio ; Acompanhamento durante o curso (análise das avaliações dos módulos) e, por último, Questionário saber , após a realização do curso. Os resultados evidenciaram que é possível, por meio da educação a distância, contribuir para o conhecimento docente, pois a modalidade disponibiliza aprendizagem de qualidade a um grande número de pessoas, de formações distintas e pertencentes a classes sociais diferentes, demograficamente distantes uma das outras.
