Previous issue date: 2017-11-30 / Conselho Nacional de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico - CNPq / This work aims to present the city of Nerópolis - Goiás through my childhood memories and the narrative of the interlocutors: the "old people", who are residents of the Center Sector of this city that hold in their individual and collective memories events that help me to know the District of Cerrado, humus that gave the corporeity to the form Nerópolis - city. However, I leave before this place, place of belonging. He began the work by demystifying the founding discourse of Farm Taveira's cradle farm, whose history is contained in a simulacrum of disagreements as to its location and, above all, the silencing of the descendants of the founding Taveira Family. Narrating the place where you lived a lifetime and, above all, knowing some stones of the way that fit the imaginary about Nerópolis as a city, for many times, made me suspicious that it would not be true to the knowledge acquired in the academy. But I count on the narratives of the old people of this place and start to weave the network of relationships of work, faith, life present in the daily life of these old people and in this way I withdraw this reliquary of formal and official discourse and dance the waltz of life in time in which this place was the Cerrado District. / Este trabalho objetiva apresentar a cidade de Nerópolis - Goiás por meio das minhas memórias de infância e pela narrativa dos interlocutores: os “velhos”, que são moradores do Setor Centro dessa cidade que guardam em suas memórias individual e coletiva acontecimentos que me ajudam a conhecer o Distrito de Cerrado, húmus que deu a corporeidade à forma Nerópolis - cidade. No entanto, parto antes deste lugar, lugar de pertencimento. Inicio o trabalho desmistificando o discurso fundador da fazenda berço Fazenda Taveira, cuja sua história está contida em um simulacro de desencontros quanto a sua localização e, acima de tudo, do silenciamento dos descendentes da Família Taveira fundadora. Narrar o lugar onde se viveu uma vida inteira e, sobretudo, conhecer algumas pedras do caminho que calçam o imaginário sobre Nerópolis enquanto cidade, por muitas vezes, me deixou desconfiada de que não estaria sendo fiel ao conhecimento adquirido na academia. Mas, conto com a narrativa dos velhos desse lugar e começo a tecer a rede de relações do trabalho, da fé, da vida presente no cotidiano desses velhos e desta maneira retiro este relicário do discurso formal e oficial e danço a valsa da vida no tempo em que esse lugar era o Distrito de Cerrado.
