Syftet med denna studie är att ur ett genusperspektiv ta reda på vilken undervisningsform elever föredrar i idrott och hälsa och om elevers val påverkas av deras nuvarande undervisningsform. Vi synliggör inledningsvis ett problem då vi anser att dagens idrott och hälsa kan vara alltför inriktad på prestation och tävling, vilket kan missgynna flickor på många olika sätt. Datainsamlingen gjordes i form av en kvalitativ enkätstudie på totalt 588 elever från fem olika högstadieskolor i Skåne. Tre av dessa var skolor med samundervisning, en skola med särundervisning och en skola med en kombination av sam- och särundervisning. Resultatet av den insamlade empirin analyseras och diskuteras utifrån bakgrund och teori. Studien visar att det finns vissa samband mellan elevers nuvarande undervisning och vilken undervisningsform de föredrar. Majoriteten av eleverna föredrar samundervisning, men när vi tittade på elevers undervisningsbakgrund var det endast en kombination av både sam- och särundervisning som ökade i procentenheter (samundervisning minskade och särundervisning varken minskade eller ökade i procentenheter). / The purpose of this study was (from a gender perspective) to find out which form of teaching students prefer in physical education and if students' choices are influenced by their current teaching method. We are initially exposing a problem when we consider that today's physical education is too focused on achievement and competition, which can disadvantage girls in many different ways. The data in this qualitative survey study was collected from a total of 588 students from five different junior high schools in south Sweden. Three of them with co-education, one with segregated education and one school with a combination of co-and segre-gated education. The results of the collected data was analyzed and discussed based on back-ground and theory. The study shows that there exists some connection between students' cur-rent teaching method and the teaching method they prefer. A majority of students prefer co-education; however when considering students' education backgrounds it was only a combina-tion of both co-and segregated education which increased in percentage (coeducational de-creased and segregated education either decreased or increased in percentage).
