Bakgrund: Hepatit C är ett blodburet virus som kan överföras via blod eller slemhinnor. Smittvägen kan vara via direkt eller indirekt kontakt. Injektionsmissbruk är den vanligaste smittvägen i Sverige. Inkubationstiden varierar mellan en till fyra månader. Cirka 70 miljoner människor bär på Hepatit C globalt. Sjukdomen räknas som en allmänfarlig sjukdom och är anmälningspliktig. Hepatit C orsakar en leverinflammation vilket kan leda till en kronisk inflammation som kan utvecklas till levercirros och cancer i levern. Det finns en behandling men inget vaccin mot Hepatit C. Dock är WHO:s mål att utrota viruset till år 2030. Hepatit C ger en försämrad livskvalitet för patienten. Genom en ökad förståelse kring patienters erfarenheter av vården kan patienter med Hepatit C få en ökad livskvalitet.Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att sammanställa erfarenheter av vården hos patienter med Hepatit C.Metod: Litteraturstudien sammanställdes av tio kvalitativa vetenskapliga studier. Databaserna Cinahl och PubMed användes i sökningen. Studiernas resultat analyserades genom granskning, kodning och kategorisering.Resultat: I litteraturstudiens resultat framkom det fyra kategorier; omvårdnadsorienterad kommunikation, bemötandets betydelse i vårdmöten, negativa erfarenheter som påverkade behandlingen och motivation till behandling. Konklusion: Det framkom att patienterna upplevde diskriminering, kommunikationsbrist och avsaknad av information samt utbildning kring sin sjukdom. Inom hälso- och sjukvården behövs tydligare rutiner och mer engagemang från både personal och patientens sida för att säkerställa vården för dessa patienter. The infection are spread through direct or indirect contact. Injection abuse is the most common cause of infection in Sweden. The incubation period varies from one to four months. Globally, 70 million people are infected by Hepatitis C. The disease is regarded as a dangerous disease and is subject to notification. Hepatitis C causes a liver inflammation that can lead to a chronic inflammation which can in turn develop into liver cirrhosis and liver cancer. There is a treatment, but no vaccine against Hepatitis C. However, WHO's goal is to exterminate the virus by 2030. Hepatitis C provides a deteriorating quality of life for the patient. Through an increased understanding of patients' experiences of care, patients with Hepatitis C can obtain an improved quality of life.Aim: The purpose of this literature review is to compile experiences of care in patients with Hepatitis C.Method: The study was conducted as a literature review based on ten qualitative scientific article. The databases Cinahl and PubMed were used in the search. The result of the studies were analyzed through reviewing, coding, categorizing and compiling.Results: The results of the literature review revealed four categories that responded to the study's purpose; nursing-oriented communication, the importance of care in care meetings, negative experiences that affected treatment and motivation for treatment.Conclusion: Patients with Hepatitis C experienced discrimination, lack of communication, information and education about their illness. Clearer routines and more commitment from both staff and patients are required in health care to ensure the care of these patients.Keyword: experiences, Hepatitis C, literature review, patients, qualitative.
