Previous issue date: 2013-08-29 / CNPQ / Nos últimos anos, percebe-se um aumento relevante do acesso à internet no Brasil. Mesmo com um número importante de pessoas que nunca a acessaram e a presença de padrões de desigualdade nesses acessos, considera-se necessário refletir sobre as configurações das ações e movimentos coletivos no contexto da expansão das novas tecnologias da informação e comunicação (NTICs) na sociedade brasileira. Tendo em vista que a internet tem desempenhado papel importante no desenvolvimento de novas formas de sociabilidade, de concepções de tempo e espaço, observa-se na literatura sobre o tema, um conjunto de discussões sobre o papel político e democrático dessa tecnologia. É sobre essas implicações que esse trabalho procurará refletir. Sendo assim, tem-se por objetivo analisar os limites e possibilidades de articulação de identidades políticas a partir das redes sociais na internet. Para isso, será elaborado um estudo de caso do grupo “Direitos Urbanos/Recife” do Facebook. A abordagem desse trabalho reconhece a relevância de se pensar os fenômenos ocorridos a partir das redes sociais na internet, no contexto mais amplo e global da sociedade da informação. No entanto, procurará inserir a compreensão do estudo a que se pretende na esfera mais nacional e local, por entender a necessidade de se pensar os atuais desafios enfrentados pelos movimentos sociais e atores políticos na sociedade brasileira. Tomar-se-á como referencial de análise para refletir sobre as articulações de identidade políticas nas atuais sociedades democráticas o pós-marxismo de Ernesto Laclau e Chantal Mouffe e a abordagem de redes na sociedade da informação para pensar o papel da internet diante das configurações recentes dos movimentos sociais. / In recent years, it has been noticed a significant increase on internet access in Brazil. Even with a large number of people who have never accessed internet, as well as the presence of patterns of inequality on internet access, it is necessary to reflect on how are social actions and collective social movements built in the context of the expansion of New Technologies of Information and Communication (NTIC) in Brazilian society. Given that the Internet has played an important role in the development of new forms of sociability and new conceptions of time and space, there is a considerable volume of scientific literature on the topic, focusing on discussions about the political and democratic role of this technology. It's about such implications that this work will seek to reflect. Thus, it is here defined as main objective the analyses of the limits and possibilities of articulating political identities from social networks on the internet. In order to do so, a case study will be conducted about the group "Urban Rights / Recife" on Facebook. The approach of this work recognizes the importance of thinking about the social phenomena that has developed from the social networks on the Internet in the broader context of global information society. However, there will be an effort to also analyze the case in study here from a national and local perspective, due to the understanding that there is a need to think about the current challenges faced by social movements and political actors in Brazilian society. The concept of post-Marxism given by Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe will be taken as a benchmark to analyze the joints of political identities in contemporary democratic societies. The network approach in the information society will be used as a parameter to think about the role of the internet settings in recent social movements.
