Pretende-se, assim, compreender o caráter de novos fatores inseridos na territorialização e integração regional do espaço da América do Sul. Para tanto, partimos de uma contextualização do sistema internacional contemporâneo orientada pela sugestão de uma abordagem espacial do capitalismo e do fenômeno da globalização. Através disto, propõe-se analisar a proposta de integração física dos territórios das nações sul-americanas, seus atores e seus interesses, especialmente àqueles envolvendo o Brasil e a chamada 'corrida ao Pacífico‘. Além disso, visando exemplificar as considerações acerca deste último tema, realiza-se um estudo de caso sobre a Via Inter-oceânica Sul, projeto âncora da agenda prioritária da IIRSA, recentemente concluído / This work of research‘s scope is to problematize the relations involved in the projects of infrastructure and in the strategic territorial planning that configure the Initiative for Integration of Regional Infrastructure in South America (IIRSA). It aims to comprehend the character of new factors in the territorialization and regional integration of the space of South America. For such means, we start from a contextualization of the contemporary international system, oriented by the suggestion of a spatial approach of capitalism and the phenomenon of globalization. Through this, it is analyzed the proposition of physical integration of the territories of south american‘s nations, its actors and interests, especially those one‘s involving Brasil and the so called 'run to the Pacific‘. In addition, aiming to exemplify the considerations about this last theme, it is made a specific study on the Southern Interoceanic Highway, key project of the priority agenda of IIRSA, recently concluded
