Orientador: Nécio Turra Neto / Resumo: Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar as práticas espaciais e as apropriações da cidade, nos momentos do lazer e entretenimento, das juventudes de diferentes gerações em cidades pequenas do interior paulista, mais especificamente em Pompeia e Oriente, na região administrativa de Marília. Dentre as muitas características que demarcam as cidades de pequeno porte está a falta de inovações no lazer e entretenimento da população em geral e dos jovens em particular, o que faz com que o tempo livre seja vivido como um tempo de ausência, de falta do que fazer. Buscamos analisar os espaços públicos e privados acessados pelos jovens locais nos momentos de lazer, as formas de sociabilidade juvenil no cotidiano das cidades pequenas, bem como as práticas juvenis alternativas e marginais às ofertas públicas e privadas. Para tanto, estudamos a história urbana dessas cidades pequenas, a partir da memória das diferentes gerações, explorando como se realizavam as práticas de sociabilidade juvenil no passado, seus tempos e espaços, para acompanharmos as transformações e permanências, as especificidades das cidades pequenas no que tange às suas interações espaciais, seus ritmos de vida e seus conteúdos em termos de espaços de encontro e sociabilidade juvenil no presente. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: This study aims to analyze the spatial practices and appropriations of the city, in the moments of leisure and entertainment, of youths of different generations in small towns in the interior of São Paulo, more specifically in Pompeia and Oriente, in the administrative region of Marilia. Among the many characteristics that mark small cities is the lack of innovations in leisure and entertainment of the population in general and young people in particular, which makes free time lived as a time of absence, lack of what do. We seek to analyze the public and private spaces accessed by local young people during leisure time, the forms of youth sociability in the daily life of small towns, as well as the alternative and marginal youth practices to public and private offerings. To this end, we study the urban history of these small cities, from the memory of different generations, exploring how the practices of youth sociability in the past, their times and spaces were performed, to follow the transformations and permanences, the specificities of small cities in what regarding their spatial interactions, their life rhythms and their contents in terms of meeting spaces and youthful sociability in the present.
