Examensarbetets tema är Centrum för informellt lärande och handlar om ett kulturhus som jag har valt att kalla för Kulturvalen. Projektets fokuset ligger på inegration mellan nyanlända och boende i området. Här kan man välja aktiviteter eller skapa egna, i mötena mellan aktiviteterna sker det spontana och informella lärandet. Sundbyberg har en jämn blandning av bostäder och kontorslokaler men däremot ingen självklar plats för integration tillsammans med utövande av kulturverksamhet. Bebyggelsen är indelad i ett rutnät och består till stor del av lamellhus, med gavlarna mot tågspåret som på så sätt delar stadsrummet i två olika områden. Hela området präglas av en höjdskillnad som sträcker sig norrut och tecknar tydligt upp en suterräng längst Tallgatan som löper parallellt längst tomten. Idag domineras tomten av Kronans tegelbyggnad som skugglägger gården bakom, därfört blev det viktigt att arbeta med ljusinsläpp ovanifrån samt att jobba med platsens lutning. Dessa två parametrar har varit huvudfokus under gestaltningen och har genererat en halvcirkel av det gamla parkeringshusets fotavtryck. Ytan utanför har blivit en tillhörande gård som fungerar som entré från närliggande gator. Även fast aktiviteterna sker på specifika platser så råder en öppenhet och transparens i Kulturvalen och det är i mötena mellan aktiviteterna som programmets olika funktioner vävs in i varandra och där mycket av det informella utbytet av erfarenheter kan ske. Siktlinjer genom byggnaden blev viktigt för att möjliggöra denna integration mellan olika situationer. / The thesis theme is the Centre for informal learning and is about a culture that I have chosen to call the Cultural elections. The project's focus is on inegration between newcomers and residents in the area. Here you can choose activities or create your own, in the meetings between the activities take place spontaneous and informal learning. Sundbyberg has an even mix of residential and office premises, but no obvious place for integration with the pursuit of cultural activities. The settlement is divided into a grid, and consists largely of the slab, with the ends toward tågspåret thus share the urban space in two different areas. The whole area is characterized by a difference in height which extends north and signs clearly a suterräng at Pine Street which runs parallel at the site. Today the site is dominated by the krona brick building that shadow adds yard behind, därfört it was important to work with natural light from above, and to work with the site's closure. These two parameters have been the main focus during the design and has generated a semicircle of the old house's parking footprint. The area outside has become an associated farm that serves as the entrance from the nearby streets. Although the activities take place at specific locations so there is openness and transparency in the Culture choices and it's in the meetings between the activities of the program's various functions are woven into each other and where much of the informal exchange of experiences can be. Lines of sight through the building became important to enable this integration between different situations.
