Las estadísticas en relación con los resultados del aprendizaje de las lenguas modernas en Suecia (PISA, OECD) muestran un continuo descenso. Al mismo tiempo, sabemos que el uso de la lengua meta (LM) en la clase es deficiente (Skolverket 2010). Igualmente la motivación de los alumnos. Para cambiar este patrón se enfrentan dos retos: encontrar nuevas estrategias para la enseñanza que, a la vez, motiven más el aprendizaje en los alumnos. Los profesores necesitan innovar su enseñanza y tomar más en cuenta los intereses de sus alumnos.Casi todos los alumnos tienen un teléfono móvil que se ha convertido en un elemento fundamental para la comunicación cotidiana entre los jóvenes. No obstante, estos aparatos ocasionan a veces situaciones de desorden y pérdida de tiempo de enseñanza en la clase. Los profesores suelen prohibir su uso dentro del salón y durante el desarrollo de la clase. Dado que es una realidad, nos planteamos la posibilidad de integrar este recurso para apoyar ciertas actividades en el proceso de aprendizaje del ELE en el salón de clase sueco.Nos proponemos estudiar la posibilidad de usar el teléfono móvil en la enseñanza para aumentar el uso de la lengua meta y la motivación de los alumnos. Con los móviles podemos implementar nuevas estrategias que coincidan con los intereses de los alumnos como por ejemplo, en los medios sociales.Podemos afirmar que nuestro pequeño estudio nos ha dado bases para proponer el uso del teléfono móvil como recurso didáctico. Esto a fines de motivar una mayor actividad comunicativa e interactiva que contribuya al desarrollo de la conversación espontánea en español por parte de los alumnos. Los alumnos están más motivados si pueden trabajar con nuevas estrategias y herramientas en vez de los ejercicios tradicionales como, por ejemplo, los que se siguen mecánicamente en el texto escolar. / The statistics in relation to the learning results in modern languages in Sweden (PISA, OECD) show a steady decline. At the same time, we know that the use of the target language in the classroom is deficient (Skolverket 2010). Equally is the case with the motivation among the pupils. In order to change this pattern we face two challenges: find new strategies for the teaching that, at the same time, motivates the students more in their learning. The teachers need to innovate their teaching and take the pupils´ interests more into account. Almost every pupil has a mobile phone which has developed into a fundamental element for the everyday communication between young people. However, in certain situations these devices may cause disorder and loss of teaching time in the classroom. The teachers usually prohibit the use of them in the classroom and during the development of the class. Since this is a reality, we suggest the possibility of integrate this resource in order to support certain activities in the process of learning Spanish as a foreign language in the Swedish classroom.Our purpose with this study is to investigate the possibility of using the mobile phone in the education to increase the use of the target language and the motivation among the pupils. With the mobile phones we can implement new strategies that agree with the pupils´ interests such as the social media.We can state that our small study has given us reason to propose the use of the mobile phone as a didactic resource. This, at the end motivated a bigger communicative and interactive activity which contributed to the development of the spontaneous conversation in Spanish among the pupils. The pupils are more motivated if they can work with new strategies and tools instead of the traditional exercises. Like, for example, those they mechanically follow in the school textbook.
