Intentionen med den här studien är att avgöra var och hur brister i cykelvägnät kan identifieras, med målet att lokalisera problemområden inom nätverket i Lidingö Stad . Om svagheter kan hittas, är det i nästa steg möjligt att förbättra nätet för att kringgå de funna problemen och deras konsekvenser. Genom att först betrakta uppgiften från ett användarperspektiv, fastställa vilka typer av kvalitéer cyklister efterfrågar av ett cykelvägnät, ger det insikt om vilka typer av åtgärder som anses förbättrande. Analysen har utförts genom undersökning av det nuvarande nätverket, både genom fjärranalys och genom fysisk besiktning av nätverkets utbredning, tillsammans med observationsstudier vid speciellt utvalda områden. Slutsatsen av studien är att svagheter återfinns på flera platser i nätet, och slutligen presenteras en serie av åtgärder som kan erbjuda lösning på de funna problemen. / The intention of this paper is to determine where and how flaws in bicycle networks can be identified, with the specific aim of finding areas of interest in the network of Lidingö municipality. If weaknesses can be found, it will open up the possibility of upgrading the network to circumvent the issues caused by the flaws. By first looking at the problem from a user perspective, determine what kind of qualities the users seem to request, it secondly creates the opportunity to take the actions needed to upgrade the bicycle network. The analysis has been carried out by surveying the current network both remotely by studying maps and by physical investigations, together with observational studies of selected areas of interest. The conclusion of the paper is that there are weaknesses at several points in the network, and finally countermeasures which can offer solutions to the flaws are proposed and discussed.
