For this, the problem of research it is to investigate, as this professor, identifies himself as a mediator in the processes of teaching and learning, according to the focus of communication and through his motivational process. Considering aspects of literature, in accordance with the principles of focusing communicative and theories of motivation, we attempted to get to know the potentiality and limitation perceived by teachers about the focus of communication; examine the role of mediator, through the reasons to become a teacher of spanish and observe how the teacher applies its methodological strategies from the focus. This study was characterized as a qualitative approach, referred to as a case study. The instruments chosen were the implementation of three observations of classrooms and a semi-structured interview room with four native teachers of Spanish language, an Institute of Languages of Porto Alegre. For analysis and obtaining the results, we used the textual analysis of discourse, through the principles of Moraes (2014). The results showed that the principles of communicative approach helps the teacher in developing units and in the way applies the strategies of learning for the student to develop their communicative competence autonomously. In addition, the characteristics of the role of mediator provide the faculty better management of classrooms and the possibility of building social bond and affective between teacher and student, through his motivational process. In this way, the learning strategies developed by professor mediator opportunism the condition to explore aspects of interculturality in the lessons of Spanish language, as a way of social integration with intercultural behavior, through communication in the Spanish language. These three aspects found: professor mediator, learning strategies and interculturality, can be regarded as pillars in the improvement and updating of curricula of training, in preparation of plans customized methodology and the opportunity for social integration, with a view to an intercultural behavior in the teaching and learning of Spanish in our national context. / Esta pesquisa tem como intuito ampliar o conhecimento sobre o Ensino Comunicativo de L?nguas e de relacion?-lo com o processo motivacional de professores de l?ngua espanhola. Para isto, a problem?tica da pesquisa trata-se de investigar como este professor se identifica como um mediador nos processos de ensino e de aprendizagem, de acordo com o Enfoque Comunicativo e por meio de seu processo motivacional. Considerando aspectos da literatura, de acordo com os princ?pios do Enfoque Comunicativo e das Teorias da Motiva??o, buscou-se conhecer as potencialidades e limita??es percebidas pelos docentes sobre o Enfoque Comunicativo; analisar o papel de mediador, atrav?s dos motivos para se tornar professor de espanhol e observar como o docente aplica as suas estrat?gias metodol?gicas a partir do Enfoque Comunicativo. Este estudo se caracterizou como uma abordagem qualitativa, denominada estudo de caso. Os instrumentos escolhidos foram ? aplica??o de tr?s observa??es de aula e uma entrevista semiestruturada individual com quatro professores nativos da l?ngua espanhola, de um Instituto de L?ngua Espanhola em Porto Alegre. Para an?lise e obten??o dos resultados, utilizou-se a An?lise Textual Discursiva, atrav?s dos princ?pios de Moraes (2014). Os resultados encontrados mostraram que os princ?pios do Enfoque Comunicativo auxiliam o docente no desenvolvimento de unidades did?ticas e na maneira como aplica as estrat?gias de aprendizagem para que o aluno desenvolva sua compet?ncia comunicativa de maneira aut?noma. Al?m disto, as caracter?sticas do papel de mediador proporcionam ao docente uma melhor gest?o da aula e a possibilidade de constru??o de v?nculo social e afetivo entre professor e aluno, atrav?s de seu processo motivacional. Desta maneira, as estrat?gias de aprendizagem desenvolvidas pelo professor mediador oportunizam a condi??o de explorar aspectos de interculturalidade nas aulas de l?ngua espanhola, como uma maneira de inser??o social com comportamento intercultural, atrav?s da comunica??o na l?ngua espanhola. Estes tr?s aspectos encontrados: professor mediador, estrat?gias de aprendizagem e interculturalidade, podem ser considerados como pilares na melhoria e atualiza??o de curr?culos formativos, na elabora??o de planos metodol?gicos personalizados e na oportunidade de inser??o social, com vistas a um comportamento intercultural no ensino e aprendizagem do espanhol em nosso contexto nacional.
