Previous issue date: 2011 / Resumo: No Brasil, as políticas públicas relacionadas à alimentação e ao trabalhador se fundamentam na idéia de que a força de trabalho é o elemento chave para a produção econômica. O movimento em relação à alimentação e ao trabalhador teve início no final da década de 30, com a criação do Serviço Central de Alimentação. Em 1972, foi criado o Instituto Nacional de Alimentação e Nutrição (INAN), que tinha como um de seus encargos a criação do Programa Nacional de Alimentação e Nutrição (PRONAN), que mais tarde (em 1976) criaria o Programa de Alimentação do Trabalhador (PAT). Neste contexto, dada a importância de um programa no âmbito alimentar e nutricional que seja voltado ao trabalhador, esta pesquisa tem como objetivo, compreender os sentidos de alimentação na relação com os sentidos de nutrição no Programa de Alimentação do Trabalhador (PAT), e também de compreender o que esta relação significa em uma política de educação nutricional. Nosso trabalho se filia à perspectiva da Análise de Discurso materialista, proposta por Michel Pêcheux, discutida e difundida no Brasil por Eni Orlandi. A metodologia consistiu na análise discursiva da lei que instituiu o PAT e dos três discursos proferidos sobre o INAN e o PRONAN, seguidos pela busca de recortes, estudo das condições de produção, elaboração de paráfrases e constituição do corpus. Observamos, pela análise do material, um efeito de confusão, além dos aspectos individual e econômico relacionados à alimentação e nutrição / Abstract: In Brazil, public policies related to food and the worker are based on the idea that the workforce is the key element to the economic production. Thus, the movement in relation to food and workers began at the end of the 30 decade, with the creation of the Food Service Center. In 1972, was create the National Institute of Food and Nutrition, which had as one of its mission the creation of the National Program of Food and Nutrition, which, later (1976) would create the Workers' Food Program. In this context, given the importance of the program in food and nutrition that is returned to the worker, this research aims to understand the meanings of food in relation to the directions of nutrition related to the Workers' Food Program and also to comprehend what this relationship means in a policy of nutrition education. Our work joins the materialist perspective of discourse analysis proposed by Pêcheux, discussed and disseminated in Brazil by Eni Orlandi. The methodology consisted of discursive analysis of the law that established the Workers' Food Program and the three speeches of the National Institute of Food and Nutrition and National Program of Food and Nutrition, followed by the search clippings, study the conditions of production, paraphrase development and corpus establishment.
