Previous issue date: 2015-02-24 / O objetivo dessa pesquisa foi compreender como são criadas e modificadas as rotinas do
Planejamento e Programação de Compras - PPC da empresa multinacional química XYZ.
Para atender esse objetivo buscou-se (1) compreender qual é o papel dos artefatos na criação e
modificação das rotinas e (2) compreender como são criadas e modificadas as rotinas
desenvolvidas no PPC da XYZ. A fundamentação teórica utilizada na pesquisa foi constituída
de estudos na área de rotinas organizacionais, dos aspectos ostensivo e performativo das
rotinas e da interferência dos artefatos na criação e modificação das rotinas. Os processos do
PPC da XYZ foram abordados pelo levantamento bibliográfico, realização de entrevistas,
pesquisa documental e observações. A pesquisa é um estudo qualitativo de caso único tendo
como unidade de análise as rotinas e práticas operacionais do processo de planejamento de
compras de matérias-primas. Para a coleta de dados utilizaram-se entrevistas por pauta,
pesquisa documental e observações. Os principais resultados indicam que os artefatos
funcionam como guia de orientação na execução das rotinas no PPC. Os artefatos
tecnológicos utilizados na área têm alta influência sobre a forma como os analistas de
materiais veem as suas atividades. As rotinas praticadas são consideradas vivas por
apresentarem aspectos de flexibilidade e mudança e também podem ser apresentadas como
genes da organização, uma vez que evidenciou-se a similaridade do padrão de ação entre os
participantes nas suas principais atividades. / The objective of this research was to understand how are created and modified the routines of
the Purchasing Planning department of the multinational chemical company XYZ. To fulfill
this objective it was sought to (1) understand the role of artefacts in the creation and
modification of the routines and (2) understand how are created and modified the routines
developed by the Raw Material Planning department of XYZ. The theoretical background
used in the research consisted of studies in the area of organizational routines, the ostensive
and performative aspects of the routines and the interference of artefacts in the creation and
modification of the routines. The Purchasing Planning processes were approached by
bibliographical research, interviews, documentary research and observations. The research is
a qualitative single case study and the unit of analysis were routines and operational practices
of the raw material purchasing planning process. To collect the data were used interviews,
documentary research and observations. The main results indicate that the artefacts serve as
guidance in the execution of routines in the Planning department. Technological artefacts used
in the area have high influence on how the raw materials analysts see their activities. The
practiced routines are considered live routines as they present aspects of flexibility and change
and can also be presented as the organization's genes, as revealed the similarity between the
patterns of actions of the participants in their core activities.
