Cette étude qualitative de type exploratoire nous a permis de répondre à la question de recherche : « Quelles sont les perceptions des immigrants camerounais par rapport aux enjeux reliés aux dynamiques intracommunautaires existant à Québec? » L’objectif que sous-tendait cette étude était la compréhension des motifs de l’organisation en associations des néo-Québécois provenant d’Afrique subsaharienne à Québec. L’étude s’est particulièrement centrée sur les immigrants camerounais à Québec. L’analyse du discours des participants à cette étude nous indique que l’imaginaire des immigrants, avant de quitter leur pays d’origine, est celui d’un pays dans lequel ils se réaliseraient et, de ce fait, offrirait de meilleures conditions de vie non seulement à eux, mais également à leur famille. Cette réalisation de soi, d’après leur imaginaire, passe nécessairement par leur contribution au développement et au bon fonctionnement de la société qui les accueille et qui devient leur nouveau chez-eux. Cette réalisation rendue impossible ou retardée par les difficultés rencontrées en terre d’accueil, l’organisation en associations selon l’ethnie et/ou le pays d’origine, est le moyen de vivre une solidarité qui leur permet de surmonter leurs difficultés, mais aussi de se souvenir de qui ils sont et d’où ils viennent. Ainsi, leur culture d’origine qui a forgé leur identité leur permet de s’intégrer à la culture du pays d’accueil. / This qualitative study of exploratory type allowed us to answer the research question: what are the perceptions of Cameroonian immigrant of the issues related to existing intra communal in Quebec City? The objective behind this study was the comprehension of organizational reasons in association of new Quebec citizen coming from Sub-Saharan Africa in Quebec City. The study is particularly focused on the Cameroonian immigrants in Quebec City. The analysis of the participants’ speeches in this study indicates that their idealism of immigrants, before they leave their origin’s country, is a country where they would fulfill themselves and thus they would offer better living conditions not only to them, but also to their families. This self-achievement from their idealism necessarily involves their contribution to the development and good functioning of the society which hosts them and which becomes their new home. This self-achievement made impossible or delayed by difficulties in land of immigration, the organization in association by ethnicity and or by the country of origin, is the way to live a solidarity that allows them to overcome their difficulties but also, to remember who they are, where they come from. Thus, their original cultures that have forged their identities, allows them to integrate the culture of the country of immigration.
