<p>Med dagens krav i lagar, författningar, föreskrifter och med patienters samt anhörigas tydliga förväntningar på sjukvården kan informationen och delaktigheten gällande vård, behandling klart förbättras inklusive säkerställas med nya rapporteringssystem. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka föräldrar och barns uppfattning angående information och delaktighet gällande barnets omvårdnad och behandling under vårdtiden på barnonkologen på ett universitetssjukhus i centrala Sverige. För att ta reda på detta utfördes en för– och eftermätning med frågeformulär till barn och föräldrar i samband med att ett nytt skiftrapporteringssystem- Bedside Handover implementerades. Inne på patientsalen tillsammans med barn och föräldrar rapporterade avgående sjuksköterska till nästkommande skifts personal enligt en rapporteringsmall. Detta innebar att alla parter fick vetskap om planerad vård och behandling samt att det förbättrade informationsflödet inklusive delaktigheten för föräldrar och barn gällande barnets omvårdnad och behandling. Samtliga frågeställningar förbättrades efter implementeringen hos både föräldrar och barn. Störst var förbättringen hos barnen. Detta rapporteringssystem sätter patienten i fokus och förstålig kommunikation används. Missförstånd, frustration och irritation kan undvikas och delaktighet uppmuntras.</p><p><strong>Nyckelord:</strong> bedside rapport, föräldrar, barn, information, delaktighet, pilotstudie</p> / <p>With today’s requirements of laws, decrees, regulations and with patients as well as relatives expectations regarding, both information about and participation in treatment and care decisions, force the health care system to improve and secure this with new reporting systems. The purpose of this study was to investigate the parents and children’s view on the information and participation concerning the child’s care and treatment at the paediatric oncology ward in Sweden. The results were assessed by a pre- and post questionnaire answered by children and parents in connection to implementation of a new reporting system- Bedside Handover was implemented. In the patientroom with child and parents present, the outgoing nurse reported to the incoming ward staff through a checklist. This meant that all parties had knowledge of planned care, treatment, which improved the flow of information, including the participation of parents and child concerning the child’s care and treatment. All issues were improved for both parents and children after the implementation. The greatest improvement was shown in the children. This reporting system puts the patient in focus, and understandable communication is used. Misunderstandings, frustration and irritation can be avoided and encouragement in participation is lifted.</p><p><strong>Keywords:</strong> bedside report, parent, children, information, participation, pilotstudy</p>
