Previous issue date: 2016 / A presente dissertação analisa o processo de territorialização do turismo no município de Urubici/SC. Dessa forma, tem como objetivo apresentar a estrutura da cadeia produtiva, identificando os bens e serviços tangíveis e intangíveis da atividade turística; analisar o processo de governança; e a relação entre o território e o turismo. Esse município tem se destacado em escala nacional no que se refere ao frio e à expectativa de neve. No entanto a importância da função turística na estrutura produtiva tem se ampliado para além da estação invernal atraindo turistas durante o ano todo. Nessa pesquisa, serão abordados os aspectos históricos, geográficos e econômicos que propiciam o desenvolvimento da atividade turística no município. Será realçada a importância da Região ?Serra Catarinense?, na inserção desta atividade. Para alcançar os objetivos propostos, optamos pelo estudo do turismo como atividade econômica, analisando as seguintes dimensões: a estrutura da cadeia produtiva, o alcance geográfico e a governança. Por fim, apresentaremos a relação entre o território e o turismo, tratando sobre o território oferece a atividade turística, e de como esta atividade influência o território. Considerando que o espaço se define pelas relações sociais que se dão sobre ele, sendo elas heterogêneas, variáveis e complexas, essa pesquisa emprega o método de formação socioespacial.<br> / Abstract : This thesis analyzes the process of territorial tourism in the town of Urubici / SC. As such, it aims to show the structure of the production chain, identifying the assets, tangible and intangible services of tourism and to analyze the governance process and the relationship between territory and tourism. The selected city has gained importance in the entire country because of the the cold and the expectation of snow. However, the importance of the tourism in the productive structure grew beyond the winter season attracting a high amount of tourists throughout the year. In this research, we will address the historical, geographic and economic factors that favored the development of tourism in the municipality. It will highlight the importance of the sierra of Santa Catarina to this activity. To achieve the proposed goals, we opted for the study of tourism as an economic activity, analyzing the following dimensions: the structure of the production chain, the geographical scope and governance. Finally, we present the relationship between the territory and tourism, talking about what the territory offers to the tourist activity, and how this activity influences the territory. Considering that the space is defined by all social relations that take place on it, which are heterogeneous, and complex variables, this research is based on the socio-spatial method.
