The essay examines what material the museum in Northeast Skåne has produced that can be provided by the upper secondary schools in the area when teaching the subject of history. The thesis also studies how this material has an connection to local history or to primary sources. The survey was conducted by studying Hässleholm's museum and Regionmuseet Skåne with the help of interviews and digital material. The purpose of the survey is to fill a relatively unexplored area for the possibilities of teaching local history and the use of primary sources in the latter part of compulsory school in the area of Northeast Skåne.The survey showed that the two museums for the survey work in two different ways with materials that can be provided by the schools as pedagogical teaching materials. Either through digital materials, study boxes or during guided museum visits. Both museums worked with materials that were locally based and primary sources.
