National production in the area of autism has advanced in recent years, however there is still a lack of jobs in the area of social skills with this population. In the literature of other countries you can find many publications on this theme, but many studies are related to social skills training, without specification of appropriate procedures for assessing social skills deficits and problem behavior syndrome. Studies concerning the state of the art of these productions, show the need for more work with autistic impairment using multimodal assessment. Therefore the aim of this study was to characterize the repertoire of social skills and behavior problems in children with severe autism through a multimodal assessment, and perform functional analysis of deficits in social skills and behavior problems of the same. The study included 6 children, 3 males and 3 females, diagnosed with severe autism who were enrolled in a special education school in a remote town in Sao Paulo. Mothers and teacher responded to the Social Skills Ratting System (SSRS-BR) and an interview regarding social skills and behavior problems of children. Were also carried out a 30 recording of 1 children in 10 different environments in school. The results obtained from the SSRS-BR answered by mothers and teacher prevailed low level of social skills and high level of behavior problems. The results of the interviews showed that although these children have deficits in social skills compared with the normative sample, still have important social skills for interpersonal relationships. The recordings were made with the child who had lower levels of social skills and high in behavior problems, both in interviews and in SSRS. Functional analysis of the behaviors recorded allowed to list behavior problems competing with the social skills classes, and it was also possible to analyze the influence of the behavior patterns of teacher and caregiver in the child's repertoire. The results showed that children have deficits in social skills and behavior problems as reported in the literature, but also indicated the importance of tools that are able to identify specific needs of children with autism. / O autismo é uma síndrome comportamental que compromete múltiplas áreas do desenvolvimento, dentre essas alterações cabe ressaltar os déficits em habilidades sociais e os problemas de comportamento. A produção nacional na área do autismo tem avançado nos últimos anos, entretanto ainda existe uma carência de trabalhos na área das habilidades sociais com essa população. Na literatura dos outros países é possível encontrar muitas publicações nessa temática, contudo muitos estudos são referentes ao treinamento de habilidades sociais, sem especificação dos procedimentos adequados de avaliação dos déficits em habilidades sociais e dos problemas de comportamento na síndrome. Os estudos referentes ao estado da arte dessas produções, mostram a necessidade de realizar trabalhos com autistas com maior comprometimento utilizando avaliação multimodal. Sendo assim o objetivo desse trabalho foi de caracterizar o repertório de Habilidades Sociais e Problemas de Comportamento de crianças com autismo grave, por meio de uma avaliação multimodal, e realizar análise funcional dos déficits em habilidades sociais e problemas de comportamento das mesmas. Participaram deste estudo 6 crianças, 3 do sexo masculino e 3 do feminino, com diagnóstico de autismo grave, matriculadas em uma escola de educação especial de uma cidade do interior de São Paulo. As mães e professora das crianças responderam ao Sistema de Avaliação de Habilidades Sociais (SSRS-BR) e uma entrevista referente às habilidades sociais e problemas de comportamento das crianças. Também foram realizadas 30 filmagens de uma das crianças em 10 ambientes diferentes na escola. Os resultados obtidos por meio do SSRS-BR respondido pelas mães e professora prevaleceram o nível baixo de habilidades sociais e nível alto de problemas de comportamento. Os resultados obtidos pelas entrevistas mostraram que apesar dessas crianças apresentarem déficits em habilidades sociais, quando comparado com a amostra normativa, ainda assim apresentam habilidades sociais importantes para o relacionamento interpessoal. As filmagens foram realizadas com a criança que apresentou níveis mais baixos em habilidades sociais e altos em problemas de comportamento, tanto no SSRS como nas entrevistas. A análise funcional dos comportamentos registrados possibilitou elencar problemas de comportamento que concorrem com as classes de habilidades sociais, e também foi possível analisar a influência dos padrões de comportamento da professora e cuidadora no repertório da criança. Os resultados mostraram que as crianças apresentam déficits em Habilidades Sociais e Problemas de Comportamento como aponta a literatura da área, mas também indicaram a importância de instrumentos que sejam capazes de identificar necessidades especificas das crianças com autismo.
