Previous issue date: 2004-05-31 / O tema tratado nesta dissertação é recorrente no cenário mais amplo da sociedade e está relacionado à forma como se constrói a relação da escola com a família. Historicamente, ambas se apresentam como instituições. À primeira vista, essas duas instituições - família e escola - poderiam se articular no sentido de somar esforços e interesses para garantir a continuidade da formação proposta aos indivíduos de determinada cultura. Entretanto, essa realidade se mostra com muitas facetas e, algumas vezes, ambígua e conflituosa. Buscou- se, nesta pesquisa, apreender como se configuram as relações entre a família e os profissionais do Laboratório de Desenvolvimento Infantil (LDI), a partir das representações sociais que ambas têm de si e do outro sobre participação e atribuição de papéis. Especificamente, os objetivos foram: apresentar um breve relato sobre a trajetória histórica da Creche UFV e do LDI no período de 1988 a 2003; descrever o programa de envolvimento da família proposto pelo LDI; identificar como ocorre a participação das famílias nesse laboratório e analisar aspectos dessa participação na perspectiva das famílias usuárias e da instituição de educação infantil; descrever as ações relativas ao envolvimento das famílias desenvolvidas pela instituição de educação infantil, analisando como essas ações são percebidas pelas famílias e pelo LDI; e confrontar as representações sociais das famílias e dos profissionais do LDI, levantando as convergências e divergências sobre a participação e atribuições de papéis, em relação a si mesmo e ao outro. Os fundamentos teóricos utilizados foram construídos diante da possibilidade de apreender como se dá a construção das relações de interação entre a instituição de educação infantil e a família. Utilizou-se como instrumento metodológico a entrevista semi-estruturada, realizada em dois blocos, durante a fase sistemática desta investigação. Inicialmente, a entrevista foi conduzida com a coordenadora, juntamente com a supervisora pedagógica do LDI. Posteriormente, foram feitas entrevistas individuais com as famílias e os profissionais do LDI selecionados. Para análise das informações obtidas, utilizou-se o método de análise de conteúdo proposto por Bardin. A descrição e a análise das representações sociais das profissionais do LDI e das famílias sobre a interação família/instituição possibilitaram a construção das seguintes categorias analíticas: atribuição de papéis e concepção de participação. No percurso desta pesquisa, teve-se a possibilidade de compreender os conceitos e explicações construídos pelos entrevistados, a partir de suas experiências cotidianas, revelando as representações sociais enquanto constituidoras de saberes que expressam determinada realidade social, com base nas estruturas cognitivas, afetivas e sociais desses indivíduos. / The subject of this dissertation is recurring in the large social scenery, being related to the way how the relationship between school and family is built. Historically, both are presented as institutions. At first sight, those institutions – family and school – could articulate in order to sum up efforts and interests to warrant the continuity of the formation proposed to the individuals in a given culture. However, that reality presents various facets and, sometimes, these are ambiguous and conflicting. The objective of this research was to apprehend how the relationships between the family and professionals of the Child Development Laboratory (LDI) configure themselves starting from the social representations which both have about themselves and about the other concerning participation and role attribution. Specifically, the objectives were: to present a brief report on the historical trajectory of Creche UFV and LDI in the 1988-2003 period; to describe the program of family involvement proposed by LDI; to identify how family participation occurs in that laboratory and to analyze aspects of that participation from the perspective of the families as well as from the perspective of the child education institution; to describe the actions related to family involvement developed by that institution, analyzing how those actions are perceived by the families and by LDI; and confront social representations of the families and those of LDI professionals, pointing out the convergences and divergences about participation and role attributions , in relation to itself and to the other. The theoretical foundations used were constructed in face of the possibility of apprehending how the construction of interaction relations between the institution and the family occurs. As methodological instrument, semi-structured interview in two blocks was used during the systematic phase of the investigation. Initially the interview was conducted with the coordinator and the pedagogic supervisor of LDI. Subsequently interviews were performed with families and selected professionals. To analyze the information gathered, content analysis of social representations of LDI professionals and families about family/ institution interaction made possible the construction of the following analytic categories: role attribution and conception of participation. During this research one could comprehend the concepts and explanations constructed by the interviewed, from the stand point of his/ her daily experiences, revealing the social representations as builders of knowledge which express certain social reality, based on cognitive, affective and social structures of those individuals. / Dissertação importada do Alexandria
